Last weekend has been quite a roller coaster ride.
Went to hike Ben Nevis (highest mountain in the British Isles), with the thought of it being just slightly tougher than Bukit Timah hill.
Super unprepared, no gloves, no waterproof clothing, hiked up w jeans. And weather definitely not on our side. Rain, strong winds, negative degree celcius.
Slipping & falling were not uncommon. Thoughts of giving up & just turning back never dies. But was glad for the constant reminder that we are almost there & also the bit of JURA that kept me going (🥃 kind of useful at times like this uh).
Extremely thankful for friends who carried my bag for me, gave up their gloves to keep my hands warm (tho I know u guys were also freezing to death and hands were swollen 😞), holding on to the timid me throughout the whole descend journey, making sure I’m always on the safer path & always have a support even if I were to fall. Thanks to u all, we made it to the TOP 🏔
Definitely the toughest hike I have had so far, but I Guess the whole experience, company and breathtaking scenery makes all the efforts worth. ☺️
