Sunday funday makes me think of this time three years ago at @terrakhaya
in Hogsback, South Africa, at the end of the grueling 100km (60mile) Amathole Hiking Trail, often lauded the toughest multi-day hike (and most beautiful) in southern Africa (photos of that another time). Terrakhaya ecovillage is an experiment in harmonious living, practiced as a work of art, from its permaculture landscape to its earthship buildings, plus the workshops and reforesting festivals (@greenpopsa
) hosted there.
But my favourite part of it all is the free-roaming horses, who seem to be trained with halters and are wonderfully responsive and humorous beings.
Shane, the owner, really knows horses, and I hope to one day join him on a multi-day trail ride!
