So let’s take a look at another #Playstation4
exclusive title that’s on the horizon (no pun intended): #DaysGone
, an open-world #zombie
action/survival game developed by #SonyBend
, a studio that’s been around since the early days of the #PSX
(that’s what we old-timers used to call the PS One, kids). Man, I miss the #SyphonFilter
But I digress. In this game, we’ll play as Deacon, a man who has a tragic backstory and a trusty motorcycle, as well as a whole truckload of weapons and skills he can utilize to survive in a desolate, dangerous landscape. The world, after all, is plagued by hordes of undead #freakers
, as they’re referred to here, and Deacon (played by the talented @switwer1
) must use the environment, his own personal experience and tech savvy, and a whole boatload of explosives to take down enemies and zombies as he struggles to survive in this latest #VideoGame #Apocalypse
Judging by the footage I’ve seen of the game, thanks to sites like @igndotcom
, it looks like Days Gone could be another hit on Sony’s hands. The concept is great, with hundreds (if not thousands!) of zombies inhabiting the world and grouping up to hunt Deacon down and rip his guts out. This game looks like #WorldWarZ
on steroids, and the sheer size of the zombie horde is enough to make anyone pause and double-check their inventory for a fresh pair of underpants.
I am a little concerned about the engine bogging down and causing some frame rate issues during gameplay, due to the magnitude of enemies on screen and the graphical fidelity on display. We’ll see how it all shakes out when the game arrives on April 26th, just two days after my birthday! So hey, #ZombieApocalypse
b-day party, anyone? Anyone?
