"ATTITUDE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING BEFORE WE DO ANYTHING"
Once upon a time, Masamune and Muramasa competed to prove the quality of their swords by sticking each of their swords into the river. Muramasa's sword would cut everything in half starting from the fish swimming towards the sword, leaves flowing, to the air. While, Masamune's sword refuses to cut anything. The fish will swim around the sword, the leaves will shift past the sword and the air will circle the sword. This is what became the forerunner of the sword Masamune called The Sword of Goodness and the sword of Muramasa is The Deadly Demonic Sword.

Naomichi Marufuji vs Kento Miyahara at the finals of the AJPW Championship Carnival.
Kento, while at least in my opinion, is a little boring given the characters in AJPW, you can’t argue against his talent in the ring, especially against the living legend, Naomichi Marufuji. It’s been an absolutely huge year for both of them, Marufuji winning the Championship Carnival, getting another match with KENTA, all while after winning the Carnival, also had a shot at the GHC Heavyweight Championship. Kento also had a very good year, winning the Triple Crown, holding the title until July, and then winning it back just a month ago. This match was all you wanted from a promising dominant babyface vs charismatic invader storyline. Check it out on AJPW TV.

Only 131 R34 GT-Rs came with Silica Breath paint from the factory. These were the 122 Mspec cars, like this one, and the 9 Mspec nür cars. Making up just over 1% of the total BNR34 run, only a couple more colors are more rare than this to see on GT-Rs... this has grown to be one of our favorites. Looks like champagne in the sun. Anyone care for a glass? 🍾
ALL OUT (Akito, Konosuke Takeshita, Shunma Katsumata, and Yuki Ino) vs #STRONGHEARTS
(CIMA, T-Hawk, El Lindaman and Duan Yingnan) at DDT LIVE! 9/25/2018
If you’ve been bored or grinders down by the countless boring 8 man tag matches in NJPW, I’d like to show you what a great one can look like in DDT. I was told about this match by @notoriousdar
and it did not disappoint. It was never going to from the start though. 3 of the best former Dragon Gate wrestlers in CIMA, T-Hawk and El Lindaman along with Chinese rookie wrestler Duan Yingnan vs not only Konosuke Takeshita but he’s joined by the incredibly fun to watch Akito, Shunma Katsumata, who I was relatively unfamiliar with and Yuki Ino who was the big man type this match needed. Incredibly fast paced match, big high impact moves and the introduction of some wrestlers you may be unfamiliar with. Great match, plus it’s free on DDT’s YT channel.

Read this book last year and have wanted to embark on this beautiful project. I was gonna measure and cut one thousand squares until I came across this kit 🙌👌Haha!
Thousand Origami Cranes- An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by the gods. Some stories believe you are granted happiness and eternal good luck, instead of just one wish, such as long life or recovery from illness or injury. The crane in Japan is one of the mystical or holy creatures (others include the dragon and the tortoise) and is said to live for a thousand years: That is why 1000 cranes are made, one for each year. In some stories it is believed that the 1000 cranes must be completed within one year and they must all be made by the person who is to make the wish at the end.
THE LEGEND OF THE CRANE - Greek and Roman myth tended to portray the dance of cranes as a love of joy and a celebration of life. Throughout Asia, the crane has been a symbol of happiness and eternal youth. In Japanese, Chinese, and Korean tradition, cranes stand for good fortune and longevity because of its fabled life span of a thousand years. The Japanese refer to the crane as “the bird of happiness” the Chinese as “heavenly crane” believing they were symbols of wisdom. The powerful wings of the crane were believed to be able to convey souls up to paradise and to carry people to higher levels of spiritual enlightenment. Over time, the crane has also evolved as a favorite subject of the tradition of paper folding – origami. It is said that a thousand folded cranes, one for each year of its life, makes a wish come true 🍃💜🍂💚
A couple matches from other Japanese promotions that made my Honorable Mentions!
Katsuhiko Nakajima and Masa Kitamiya took on the young team of Takuya Nomura and Hideyoshi Kamitani. This match was a completely unexpected banger, Nomura is gonna be star, mark my words. This match took place at Riki Choshu's Power Hall 2018.
Another tag match, Ben-K and Big R took on Tribe Vanguard's BxB Hulk and YAMATO. An absolutely incredible match showing off the fantastic combo of Big Ben. Masashi Takeda took on Ryuji Ito defending his BJW Deathmatch Heavyweight Championship in a 300 Lighttubes match. Takeda had a stellar year.
Konosuke Takeshita faced off against a living legend in CIMA. His Strong Hearts faction has shook up the japanese wrestling indies and I'm excited to see more.
Finally, the only women's match so far, Momo Watanabe attempted to pry the White Belt from champion Io Shirai. I loved Stardom all throughout this year but as much as I loved watching Mayu vs Io for the 50th time, Momo brought it.

I read before that there are more shrines than convenience stores in Japan, and I never really believed it until I moved to the countryside.
My eyes are relentlessly busy seeing things they’ve never seen, my legs are restlessly busy taking me to places they’ve never been, and I’m officially busy accepting the deep roots and heritage that have been living in my blood for thousands of years.
