Last week I made a sign to put in my yard to show my support and solidarity for the mission to have #JusticeForAntwon
. A passive voice is a permissive voice and we should never stand by silently while injustice occurs. This week I received this card in the mail and it almost made me cry. I have no idea who this is and there was no return address. It was a reminder that there are good people out there. Thanks Christina, whoever you are. #brookline #antwonrose #threeshotsinthebackhowyoujustifythat #bethechange #beloud #beextra

Antwon Rose II would have turned 18 today. Some photos from Sunday, when protesters shut down Route 30 by where he was fatally shot by an East Pittsburgh police officer. In addition to a fair and just policing system, protesters continue to call for the officer to be fired, for his bail to be revoked, for a citizen review board to be established for the police, and for the county DA to turn over the case to the state AG. "I know people are getting a little tired of us. I lived 55 years and no one's listened to us. Our issues are not important," said retired Air Force Master Sgt. Doug Connor before attending an Allegheny County Council meeting in support of a civilian police review board. "We're all humans, let's get down to being human... I'm not any one thing. I want the same things that everybody else does, to survive. For my grandchildren to not get pulled over if they drive in a nice car. I have a grandson of 12 and I fear every time he goes outside." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Antwon Rose Jr. would have been turning 18 years old today. A handsome, smart, wonderful young man was taken from this world too soon on June 19, 2018 by a disgusting, cruel “man” who was supposed to protect and serve. Instead that “man” took the life of a child. Today we celebrate your life, and in the days coming we will continue to fight for justice. Rest up baby💜🌹 #antwonrosejr #antwonrose #justiceforantwonrosejr #justiceforantwon #BLM
Remembering Antwon Michael Rose Jr.
should have celebrated his 18th birthday. On June 19, he was fatally shot while fleeing a traffic stop by the East Pittsburgh police. He posed absolutely no threat to anyone.

On June 19th (two weeks ago,) Antwon Rose Jr./II was shot three times in the back by a East Pittsburgh police officer. Antwon was a passenger in a car pulled over for a traffic stop. He tried to run away. God knows why (we know why.) Doesn't matter. What does matter is that he was BLACK, he was UNARMED, and he was 17. This was the summer before his senior year.
The cop, #michaelrosfeld
was white, 30, and had been dismissed for cause from his previous post at the University of Pittsburgh. But the Blue Merry-Go-Round goes round and round. He was sworn in at an East Pittsbugh City Council meeting just a couple of hours before he killed Antwon.
Two years ago, Antwon wrote this poem, I AM NOT WHAT YOU THINK!, as part of an end of the year assignment for his sophomore honors English class.
I recently wrote an intimate, open letter about community healing and Antwon Rose Jr. Thanks to Tracy Certo and @nextpittsburgh
for intentionally lifting up our voices. Please share this article with your friends, family and loved ones. Peace and blessings everyone.✌🏽 | Link in bio

Wow....I really just wanna wish these people the best. Nun of these Young humans deserve this It just really breaks my heart to know they are not here What a Mf cruel and cold world. All of these Kids family just lost a brother or sister or son , daughter, cousin etc. Is running over ppl, shooting people , stabbing people , beating up ppl to death a trend? This is not right and all the people that where around these beautiful young souls didnt do shit about it they just watched and recorded or walked away instead of helping them out or something. But you know what i really wish the best to the killer's because there families are broken hearted knowing their son just killed someone And they are probably hurting right now .So i hope the killer's Really regret what they did and if i dont see all of those killer's in jail i am pretty sure that would be fucked up to all the cops of etc. All of these dead kids just wanted to live. They had a long life ahead of them and so many great things to experience and the people who killed them took that opportunity from them. Imagine how happy they would be right now Bella and Luz would be making friends right now and going to school soon. Junior would be a cop or what he wanted to be . X would be keep buying his family everything they wanted and making his family proud and making music. And the rest would be doing and achieving all their goals in life. But all the people that thought they would be the shit by killing someone but nah you out there looking like a whole froud or fool. Reast easy and in paradise to all these people like seriously All they families is hurtin right now and it would never be the same for them . like i want to know why they did this why to him/her What did they do to the murder's ? Huh Nothing right so i dont understand why they did it to them because they had a lovely soul and The best personality and so much more i would give 1 million reasons😭💔 Mannnneee Rest In peace They all looking down on us.😔🙏 #justiceforall #justiceforjunior #justiceforbella #justiceforluz #justiceforvlana #justiceforesaid #justiceforsaniyah #justicefornylah #justiceforxxxtentacion #justiceforantwon
