Those are about 40 foot sailboats at the bottom. Thumbs cove is an amazing place to paddle and explore. Almost always calm, with three hanging alpine glaciers and more berries than a gang of five year olds could eat in a summer! There are two state park cabins that we access with our fleet of water taxis, and many camping sites as well! The incredible cliffs leave you with a little vertigo! This place is awesome!
First time camping in the Kenai Fjords. Not sure what I’ve been doing with my time lately, but this trip was a reminder of why I’m here. Thanks @tuckerjonas

Wildlife photography is something I truly enjoy. It is incredibly rewarding to get a perfect shot of an amazing animal (so basically all of them). My camera does most of the work, while Kyle and @tybarber8
are super good luck charms that get me nice and close. You can watch my story to see this interaction go down in person! #ladiesgetoutside #orca
Found the perfect Rock to enjoy exit glacier!!!

is home to breathtaking glaciers, icefields and coastal fjord, which create a diverse ecosystem for the sea lions and many other animals in this Alaska park. Stellar #sealions
can be seen throughout the year at the park’s numerous haul-outs. Which Stellar sea lion are you? Photo by K. Thoresen, #NationalPark

One last photo series devoted to the absolutely phenomenal Aialik Glacier
View of the Northwestern Glacier meeting the Kenai Fjords from the wheelhouse of the M/V Milo. We went out and paddled about amongst the seals and sat on one of their icebergs. From there we watched slabs of ice the size of small cars break off from the glacier and shatter against the lower slopes before splashing into the ocean.
A decent example of landscapes in Alaska, at least in south central: calm sea, spruce pines, rocks and oh yeah, a retreating glacier. Also observed throughout the day: sea lions, otters, orcas, humpbacks, puffins and a little boy trapped in a man’s body approaching his 43rd trip around the sun. #kenaifjords #wildalaska
No need for SeaWorld. You might get closer to orcas in the wild anyways.
💀 I was telling Vera about how I acquired all the sea life hanging from my waist, I got caught in a fishing net and dragged along the seafloor until the Captain pulled me up and gave me his hat cos he was so impressed that I survived and I was the most badass women pirate he ever knew ;) #pirateparty
