Seriously sweat-tastic first power yoga class today at @poweryogacanada Oakville, it was awesome! If you can’t tell... my shirt isn’t actually dark grey, so I’d say I worked pretty hard. Seriously hard at times, and I’ve always had a tough time with hot yoga but it was challenging in a fun way today and I took breaks as needed and still felt accomplished afterward. I bought myself a 30 day pack so I’ve booked into 15 classes and I’m really ready to see if I can develop a habit of this yoga thing! I’ve been getting so many questions about intermittent fasting recently so I thought I’d make a post about it. 🍃I fast every single day for at least 18 hours. 🕒 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What is Intermittent Fasting?🕖 - An eating pattern that cycles between periods of eating and fasting - You eat during a period of time, and you don’t eat for another period of time. Benefits of Intermittent - Weight Loss (Its harder to eat more between a period of ~6 hours than for the whole day) - Increases Insulin Sensitivity (Insulin is the fat storage hormone, when you eat this rises to lower your blood sugar. .. Chorizo/ground turkey patty, Bacon/ Cheddar cheese/Coconut flour bun/Red onion/Mayo = Bomb burger! If you are used to fathead dough, these are totally different. These are a dry bun, not crumbly but dry. I liked it, my husband prefers the fathead dough. Buns: 3/4 cup coconut flour 6 eggs 1/2 cup olive oil 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp pink salt 1 tbsp water Mix wet to dry, let sit for 5 minutes. Form dough into 4-5 buns Put buns in parchment lined cookie sheet Bake 325° for 30 minutes **could add any seasoning like red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, garlic, etc *** I think the buns can become "sugar cookie...ish!!" I found a couple of recipes online and tweaked a bit... . . 1/2 onion Minced garlic 1.5 lbs ground meat 1 head red cabbage 1 big can tomato paste 1 small can tomato sauce Salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and sweetener to taste (I used liquid stevia). Brown meat with onions and garlic. Then throw everything else in a big pot and cook until the cabbage is tender - about 30 mins on medium heat. . . E N J O Y ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

{dinner} This is ground sausage, mushrooms, minced garlic, kale, and a *little* butternut squash seasoned with sage, olive oil, rosemary, pepper, garlic powder, and a teeny bit of onion powder. My husband had way more of the squash, but it’s real food, and seasonal, so I believe a little is a-ok, especially since I’ve only had 4 g of carbs today. 👍🏻☺️
