This kid took a chirashi cooking class with me last night. Where once he would not even try anything with sauce last night he made a wonderful dashi bacon scallion broth with mussels, pickled shallots, and he learned how to cut sushi. #kidswhocook
As promised, Caleb and I managed to steal the kitchen away from daddy last night and make some delicious breaded chicken strips and dipping sauce. A big work in progress, because daddy is not used to filming and I’m certainly not used to cooking 😆. But we all had a fun time doing it and that’s one of the most important things! We got this recipe online from “Dinner at the Zoo”. It was easy and delicious (says daddy and Caleb. I’m a vegetarian). It took about 30 minutes after marinating the chicken, so easy-peasy. If you like chicken strips, I hope you try it! We will post the recipe on our You Tube channel (link in bio). Happy short work and school week! #cookingwithcaleb

Apparently, watching me truss a duck and a chicken (on separate nights) last week had a big impression on Charles, who prepared this feast for me while I cooked dinner tonight. Bet you’ve never seen a whole trussed cow... #eatlocal #lovemysouschefs #trussingiseasy #kidswhocook
Can’t think of a better Birthday Adventure than one that ends with handmade Salted Caramel Macarons!
My granddaughter loves to bake and she does it very well, thanks to the Food Network and her Mom.
was the perfect place to celebrate her interest, grow her skills and taste test her treats. (Really really good, btw!)
Is there a culinary school in your neck of the woods that offers classes to kids? Tag them here so we can keep tasting, I mean, encouraging young cooks & their creativity.
Welp, Caleb and I wrapped up our Kooking class with @brooksrehab
(pediatric side) last week. It was a lot of fun and we learned some really cute recipes along the way! We have actually made a promise to daddy to cook dinner once a week (yes I know I’m lucky to be married to a guy who likes to cook) so we’ll be filming those and posting them here and on our You Tube channel. I’m very behind with that, but a new year is coming and new beginnings, yes? Anywho, we are scouting for some interesting (easy 😆) recipes to do. If you have one, email us at: email@example.com
- if we use your recipe, we’ll send you a Caleb’s Crew tee! Happy Sunday!

Nerdy Nummies class... where we made and decorated brownies and cupcakes. I didn't get great pics, but oh well. Can't always have good mementos. Miss 7, my oldest, made the brownies and they were delicious.

to the very first private dinner I donated to the @rotaryinternational
foundation. Since then, I have raised over $70,000 for charitable causes I am passionate about by donating these private dinners to the live auctions of charity galas. There is no greater feeling than knowing that I have used my cooking to make an important impact in the lives of others ❤️
