Our first pics were September 1st. Ed and I are LOVING this diet. We laugh a lot together as we plan our dinners together and watch each other engrossed in putting in our food in MFP. You should see us running to each other for show and tell when we get to 0 or very close.We are working together well with the diet and at the gym! Your only goal was to come out on top. Meaningful Monday: It's hard not to be disappointed when you feel like you have failed. Take the emotion out of it! ZERO "you SUCK" talk, it is not helpful nor will it make you or the situation better! 👏🏽So reframe it, "this could have been better if I executed X." I spent the whole day and many weeks organizing and dialing in my nutrition in preparation for today. My morning started at 5am and I got all glammed up for a great photoshoot in Flagstaff, AZ. 🙌🏽Hacks: A favorite hack I have learned is to just save a meal I eat often in MFP so all I have to do is hit add meal instead of re-entering it every time. Also, adding that favorite treat at the beginning of the day instead of when its too late and I have no macros left. I always try to keep a healthy snack on me at all times and drink lots of water. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⭐️Non-Scale: My non-scale victory is feeling a difference in my clothes! I went from a size 12-14 to an 8-10 and even a 6 at one store! I think the last time I was in a 6-8 was in High School or college. I've had to get all new pants/shorts, etc. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💪🏽I've also noticed a difference in how I carry myself and how I think. Before I started this I felt awful, ugly, unworthy, depressed, not good enough, hated to shop for clothes, lacked confidence, felt defeated, etc. I played the victim card. Now....I think differently! I'm proud of who I am and how far I've come. Although I'm not where I want to be yet I'm thankful I'm moving in the right direction. I feel more confident, I love to shop, I am worthy, I am an over comer, I can accomplish what I set my mind to, I am beautiful!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⚖️Scale Victory: I went from 161 pounds to 147 and I'm not finished yet! I have felt more victory in inches though. Wish I would have measured before I started. ✨Difference: I didn't really try anything else before other than Isagenix for about 3 months which combined detox and meal replacement shakes. It did work while I was on it but the weight came back after I went off and I hated the taste of the detox drink juice they had. That's why flexible dieting sounded like the perfect fit for me. I could still eat what I wanted and didn't have to buy any additional products to take. I didn't have to eat something totally different than my family and I could still have the occasional drink or treat if I wanted. 🎞History: My nutritional history consisted of highs and lows. One day I would eat over 2,000 calories and the next maybe 1,000 or under. I definitely wasn't eating near enough protein and probably overdoing it in the carb and fat department. Hello, Mexican food!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 😳Intimidation: The most intimidating part about starting flexible dieting was probably the tracking of every little thing. I knew it was going to be a learning curve fore sure. A new habit to start. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👍🏽Surprising: What was surprisingly easy about this was that I could still eat what I wanted or liked. I didn't have to cut out anything I enjoyed other than my merlot every other night. ;-) As long as I put what I crave in my plan the day before or morning of I can set myself up for success. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 😣Hardest Habit: The habit hardest to break was mindless eating or snacking. Caught myself with FOMO when I would see my family go in the kitchen for whatever they craved or wanted and just eating it. What I Ate Wednesday: Who said eating healthy had to take forever to make? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⏰This meal under 10 min to prep...Let me tell you how. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On 📆Sunday I cut all of my mini bell pepper's and took the seeds out so they were ready to Grab N Go. Then I spread laughing cow cheese and sprinkled, "Everything but the bagel" seasoning from Trader Joes on them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Wontons (Costco) 9 min at 400 degrees in the AirFryer ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ While the 🥟Wontons "fry" I took the ground chicken from #Sprouts and cooked it up in a stove top pan and added a little bit of chicken #broth & #seasoning so it wouldn't dry out while I cooked it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Another fast alternative is to take a whole chicken from #Costco (theirs are so good and tender and big) or any other store and take all the chicken off so that you had Grab N Go Chicken for later in the week (always think ahead and make things easier for later). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Then I washed the 🥔 #potatoes and poked them with a fork and threw them into a #ZiplockSteamBag (4.5 min in the micro) came out to perfection. Drizzled melted #butter and garlic salt on them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lastly, plated and weighed everything threw 1 oz #feta on my chicken and drizzled 💃🏻 #FranksRedHotSauce on the chicken. Pre and Post Workout for my 9-year old. I know some of you might think but why? Don’t be ridiculous she is 9. Good grief your that parent. I get it I do but let me explain… . During my workout today (my favorite thinking place) I started to think about Ki and how her growing body is going to be asked to commit to even more activity this year. As her mom, my first instinct is to make sure she can meet the demands she places on her body and not drain her adrenals or internal system because of lack of fuel. My thought has always been if we commit to something let’s make sure we have all the tools ⚒ to be the most successful at it. . I was a two-sport college athlete at Grand Canyon University (volleyball 🏐and ⚾️softball) and although I loved my school at the time the amenities there were well, ummm... NONE. I knew ZERO😬 about nutrition and I know that if I had been taught how to fuel appropriately for practice and my games I could have performed optimally even more consistently and recovered even better🤓💪 There is a reason this is not provided for the program. It’s an important part to any athletic program. . Naturally, I want optimal performance and recovery for my kids as well. 👍🏼 . We are at a transitional place here with Kileigh she went from a 1.5-hour practice 2x a week to a 2-hour practice 3x a week. Ki is not a goalie but our goalies have 4 days of practice. My first thought was Ki will need carbs halfway through practice today. Her energy expenditure is going to be through the roof! . ⚽️🏃🏻‍♀️💨If you think about it they run pretty much the whole practice. It took me in January 1.42 hours to run a half marathon so our girls are likely for their age putting in some mileage almost running a half marathon. You better believe during training and on half marathon day I had a fuel plan and so did most people who were running and not wanting to die halfway through. . If our girls were playing ⛳️Golf or ⚾️Softball (more downtime than GO time) I wouldn’t worry as much about the 1-hour practice but the 2 hour and for some now 2 hours multiple days a week makes my brain go into overdrive. I think it would be wise to start thinking about nutrition. 👇🏽

What I Ate Wednesday: There isn't anything easier than this meal! SWEAR! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Fry's Market Place has a grill. I got 2 lbs of butterfly grilled 🐓chicken ($6.99 a pound) They will add seasoning to it for you I love the Malibu that they have. They grill it to perfection. It takes about 20 min. Which is totally cool because 1. It's hot as🔥 Satan's breath outside and 2. I need to grab other things. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📺 Don't miss my Fry's Field Trip check it out on my #IGTV . I do sauté this in oil because it taste amazing and because Chicken breast is very low Fat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lastly, I got grabbed some 🌽corn on the cob which I threw in my microwave steam bags for 4 min and they came out PERFECT! In order to make a marinade that isn't loaded with fat I will mix these seasonings with chicken or veggies broth. Today marks 13 years of doing life with this man. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I still feel like the 22-year-olds that we were when we made the choice to love each other forever. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What a journey it has been and like most married people with young families we have been through it all, good and bad. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ However, as I sit and write this and think about our life together I can't help but feel so much peace, hope and love. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You bring out the best in me even though you have seen the worst in me. Your love is unconditional and you see my heart and intentions clear as day. You are the best human being I know. I'm not just saying that because I am your wife. I mean it.
