Gossi took a trip to @kimcheegram
- a Korean restaurant in Kings Cross. This restaurant is insanely stylish, modern and upmarket but with a really fair and affordable menu. He and his mate had chicken and beef buns to start, his mate had Jjam Bbong (a spicy mixed seafood noodle soup) and Gossi had the Jajang Myeon (noodles and vegetables served with pork in black bean and sesame oil). 🇰🇷 🍜
Johnny & Jugnu! It starts with the sauce...😍 For those of you who don't know, this was a small start up by a group of LUMS students. It's now one of the most well known eats in Lahore, Pakistan.
It's a very small takeaway shack and at anytime there's queues. Absolutely packed. You place an order and wait at least 15 minutes for a chicken burger. It's always made fresh. You get a choice to add a variety of special mouthwatering sauces.
Go for the Wehshi burger and this is the best chicken burger full stop. From it's juicy yet crispy spiced chicken breast to the atomic sauce they've filled it in, this is outrageously good. It gets better. The burger itself is so damm cheap! With fries and a drink it's Rs. 380! That's less than £3 whaaattt!
No wonder it's so popular. Delicious fresh food and so cheap. They've opened a massive branch in Johar Town, I've heard. For comparison, the KFC Zinger has nothing on this!
I love this place.

When you work from home, and have time to cut up some extra fruits 🙌🏻 Our Superpower Granola simply mixed with milk and topped with blueberries, strawberries and figs 😋

Homemade chocolate brownies.
Cheated for this as I found some old brownie batter mix in the cupboards when cleaning but I was feeling down so... 🤷♂️
It looks a little messy but honestly cooked to perfection. It was so soft & squidgy (I’m not using that horrible word moist); pulled apart & the chocolate was still warm & runny.
In Urdu, Kahani translates as story. Our story began in Chennai, where Chef Peter Joseph was born and spent his childhood. The bustling markets, rich smells and spiced flavours of Chennai all inspired the dishes on our menu today!
Street Food. Borough Market
Tesco, Irish Wheaten Loaf, £1.10
Verdict: 'Small but surprisingly impactful - unfortunately in a Napoleon way, not a Malala way'
I bought this bread because I thought it looked "cute". That was the word that went through my head when I got distracted while trying to buy bin bags in Tesco. One minute I was in the cleaning aisle getting things done, the next I was ogling the bakery. Classic.
Worryingly, swerving the practical for the cute is a bit of a thing for me at the moment (I subsequently left without the bin bags to my order-lacking life and my ever increasing shoe collection). For some reason, aesthetics have been really appealing to me recently in a way they haven't for a while. Which has left me wondering if this is the start of my capitalist demise? Shit. I think the systems got me. Or maybe it's just down to fashion week and my recent discovery of Pintrest.... Anyways, serves me right that this bread was gross. Not only was it bland as anything, but the texture was a massive mind fuck. Somehow it managed to be gritty and crumbly while having a bizarre creamy quality - It just didn't make a whole loaf of sense. The texture was so weird that even toasted it didn't hold butter well. The worst.
Like I said, serves me right for thinking that something will make my life better just because it's "cute". It won't, it doesn't. Cuteness is fleeting and skin deep, and in this instance even the crust was shite so that didn't even cut it.
Because of the type of person I am, I forced myself to finish this bread as punishment for being sucked in to an exterior - read into that what you will but all I know is I am approaching "cute" things with more caution and reflection.
