Come & help us plant 2000 'February Glory' daffodil bulbs!
Parks & Countryside team have kindly given us 2000 daffodil bulbs to create a blaze of colour on the bank by North Parade car park. We will be continuing to plant them 10.00am-12.00pm on this Wednesday 24th October & Sunday 28th October. Come & join us! No experience necessary & we can provide equipment but if you do have a small border spade please bring it with you as we will be cutting out clods of grass to plant the bulbs. We will meet at the bank by the Monkey Puzzle trees next to North Parade car park. You’ll see us wearing our new volunteer vests! 😊👍🏻
Thank you to everyone who attended our 1st AGM last night! 😊 It was a great evening with a really informative & interesting talk from Tom Simpson at Gatwick Greenspace @sussexwildlifetrust

We would like to thank everyone who came out yesterday to help plant daffodil bulbs in the rain! ☔Come Spring, we should start to see them pop up! 😊🌱 We have more planting sessions 10am-12pm this Sunday 21st & Weds 24th October if you would like to help too! 👫👬👭
Is it ok to be hiding #derbyshirerocks
on my own? My daughter would be proud! Found Darley Playing Fields and hidden on Nutwood Nature Reserve. #loveparks
Day 64. Today was meant to be a day of jobs! Tidying, cleaning, making a load of soup to go in our shiny new freezer (that actually freezes and doesn't turn the kitchen into a wet room). My friend then messages asking if 🐻 and I want to go to the garden centre, out for coffee and to the park. Mmmmmmmm hell yes! 🐻 had an awesome time with his bestie. He always grins when I pop his splash suit on now as he knows he is going to be oootside! Definately my boy! 😂🌲🌳
We will have refreshments ☕🍪 & guest speaker Tom Simpson from Gatwick Greenspace will be giving a talk on wildlife gardening 🐝🦔 No need to book! Just come along tomorrow @ 7:30pm & say hi! 👋 Look forward to seeing you there!

Kubota Garden in South Seattle's Rainier Beach neighborhood is a great place to see, explore, and walk through a Japanese garden landscape of trees, streams, waterfalls, ponds, and boulders. This photo is just one of the many Japanese Maples that are at home in this beautiful garden. I'm looking forward to revisiting this garden in the next few weeks, when fall colors will be in full bloom. The garden is a public park and is open year-round during daylight hours and is FREE to the public. This wonderful space is maintained by @seattleparksandrec.
Please note that the terrain of the garden includes hills and valleys that might be difficult to navigate for people with disabilities or others that have difficulty walking up and down hills (if you have issues walking, then you should stay on the main paths, and avoid the small winding dirt trails, which can get quite slippery when wet). #exploreseattle #seattlefall #seattleparks #seattleparksandrecreation #kubotagarden #pnwparks #parksandrec #southseattle #pnw #explorepnw #japanesemaples #japanesemaple #loveparks
