Absolutely nothing in life has meaning, except for the meaning you give it.
Consider the dentist chair. Many people can't stand the thought of visiting the dentist and would rather endure agonising toothache than schedule an appointment. This is normally the result of having experienced terrible pain in the chair, before and now they associate anything to do with a dentist, as pure mental and physical anguish. Then, there are people like me who have no problem with the dentist or root canals, and actually have a positive association with this experience. I love walking out of the medical room knowing my teeth are healthy and my oral hygiene is taken care of. You see, same experience, different connotation to the meaning of it.
Do yourself a favour and start challenging your belief system about different things; MONEY (is it good or bad, do you deserve to have plenty of it or not?), RELATIONSHIPS (and being vulnerable to those close to you), EXERCISE (is it hard to get and stay fit, or do you see it as a privilege that you are healthy enough to run, lift weights or do anything else exercise - related). Remember to ask the most important question... WHY? Why do you believe what you do AND how could you benefit by changing those beliefs?
What if, you don't have to stay how you are? What if you don't have to be afraid of the same things you are afraid of now? What if you change the way you look at things. This is normally where the things we look at, change. We're never suppose to stop growing. In nature, when something stops growing, it dies. The same goes for anything else in this world. We have to keep climbing, building, creating. It's the only way we can truly live without living a life of depression, anxiety and overwhelm.
