Look it takes a lot of hustle, heart, determination, grit, and disappointments to get what you want out of life. There are times when you have to make some difficult internal decisions to either push through and get it or think you can't and throw in the towel. I want to run with winners and people who don't give up. People who want to help others and lift others along the way. Focus on what you really want. Because singular focus plus persistence and determination leads to spectacular success, or at the very least, a series of small wins that also will push you forward to the goals of success that you seek.
This is the Manaca Iznaga Tower in the Valle de Los Ingenios in Cuba. It is seven stories high and was used to monitor and control the slaves working in these sugar cane plantations back when it was created in 1750 to when this practice was abolished. These days it's just a tourist attraction. It wasn't difficult to climb, but if you're afraid of heights, it might not be the best idea. But if you wanna push through your fear, the 360° views of the valley at every level are definitely worth it.
More in the coming blog post about Trinidad. So make sure you're subscribed (link in bio!).
Side note: You guys have no idea how much the fact that these towers appear slanted and not straight in these photos bug me. So much that it took me months to post it (secretly hoping that I'd become adept enough at Photoshop to fix it in that time). Alas (dramatic sigh!) this is what it is and it's the only pics I have at this location and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience so I'm sharing.
