Ever asked your family their favorite meals are you create? 🍝🥗🍕 Not assumed what their favorites are-- but actually ASKED them? You might be surprised at their responses. When I asked my four year old, she gave me examples like my Asian Chicken Meatballs (which I knew), and Tex Mex Turkey Taco Pie; but she also really likes my Turmeric Beef (a 15-minute dinner), Sweet Potato, Kale and Beef Stew and my Coconut Lime Chicken. She also listed Chipotle, which I'm not sure what to think about, but hey- she gave me some good insight, anyway!
My husband really likes taco bowls, chili and steak salads. He always prefers red meat over light, but he does love pork and he'll settle for chicken thighs to mix it up.
I was so surprised at the meals that stood out to them- and I bet you will be, too. One of my BEST tactics to create a meal plan your whole family loves? Ask THEM their favorites and create a family favorites list based on their responses! It’s impossible to please everyone- but it will at least give you a head start to a less-stressful mealtime. What is intermittent fasting? Why do I do it?
Fasting is the simply the absence of eating. Intermittent fasting on the other hand, puts structure into your dieting pattern. This means that you consume all of your calories during a specific window of the day, and choose not to eat for a larger window of time.
It seems like every week, there is a new and profound benefit linked to intermittent fasting; sustainable weight loss, improved brain health, protection from various diseases, but at the end of the day its just an eating schedule. It can be a very useful tool to help you reach your health and fitness goals.
I personally do it because unlike many diet plans out there that complicate life and can be expensive, fasting simplifies it and is FREE. Im not much of a breakfast person to begin with, so fasting fits into my lifestyle perfectly. Instead of splitting up my food into 6 small meals daily, I blunt my hunger by drinking black coffee, plenty of water and then have an 8-10 hour window to eat 2-3 big FEASTS and never go to bed hungry.

For a long time I was depressed, anxious and didn’t really feel worthy of anything.
I felt sorry for myself because I thought that the world was against me.
I thought that I would always be overweight and I’d hate my body, that I would always have some stupid job that I didn’t enjoy and hardly paid the bills, I’d be broke, unhappy, never getting to do anything that I wanted to do. .
Fast forward 5 years, after countless hours of fighting those thoughts, personal development, amazing, supportive people always pushing me to be better, plus Matthew (he’s the reason I do everything I do. I want to be the best I possibly can for him.) I own a successful health and wellness business, I make more money in a week than I did in a month nannying all by helping people become the best versions of themselves.
I’m married to the man of my dreams, we have a beautiful baby boy, all while slowly building the life we want, where we can travel and afford to do the fun stuff. .
So just give yourself grace.
Remind yourself that sometimes bad things have to happen, for good things to come.
You’re a good person who deserves good things.
So stop settling.

It’s been fun Keto! In the last few months, I have learned to count calories 📈, watch my macros 📊, and some serious portion control 🥗. Now it’s time to give my body everything that it needs 💪🏻, not just certain things. Calorie counting and minimal carbs will continue, but I’m not going to be so strict and concerned with high fat foods. 🍓🍓🍓 P I C K I N G was literally one of my favourite things we did this summer. Our kids had the best time too, so it was a win for everyone. Not sure if Noah was so into it though, but he was a good sport🙄.
This is the 2nd time we’ve visited this farm and we love it. It’s not too big or overwhelming, you can choose from a variety of produce to pick and the kids obviously love the tractor rides. At the end we get frozen yogurt made with their freshly picked berries, it’s incredible. They also have a little market with all of their produce. So if you didn’t have time to pick everything you wanted to, you can grab stuff there at the end. Hoping to go one more time before the end of the season!

Attempting to get some order as far as my diet goes after a summer of vacation and eating whatever I want. Now I want specific results. I want to increase muscle mass, reduce body fat percentage and do it without thinning hair. I don't want to do keto or super low carbs so I am taking a Macros approach where I include carbs, but a specific amount to fuel my workouts. This salad is a great example of that. Grilled peach, veggies and chicken. For breakfast, before my workout half a sweet potato and fruit. Gotta get in the habit of carbs not equaling cookies and icecream 😋

Ah I’m so sorry about the rubbish photos! 📸🙈....but tonight for dins we had ASIAN inspired CHICKEN PARCELS and despite the photos they were really tasty and #kidapproved
👍🏼I made these two ways as Maisie wanted hers as a brothy soup so I made them then just added some chicken stock to hers at the end...😋 ~
She ate all of hers & asked for seconds..except there wasn’t any! 🙈...& Alfie did pretty well with his except for ignoring the broccoli (which is supposedly his favourite veg?! 🤔 or not?! 🤷🏻♀️😂)
Anyway, the method etc is up on my stories so grab them quickly before they go! (Apologies in advance for Maisie’s music taste...she takes after her Mama! 😜😂....
I usually make this meal with salmon or other fish which I actually think is better as it doesn’t need so long in the oven & the veggies then don’t cook for too long...I prefer my veggies al dente but seeing as this was a hit with the kids maybe I’d do it with chicken again...but maybe just add the veg for the last 10 mins or so when adding the noodles?!🤷🏻♀️...
You basically make up the sauce with soy, sesame, garlic, ginger, honey and chilli flakes if you want a kick and then leave aside. ~
If you have time you can marinade the chicken in this sauce first for a few hours before cooking but today sadly that didn’t happen! 🙈
Anyway, make some foil parcels, add the chicken then add the soy sauce mix & then add your veg of choice then pop in the oven for around 30mins...
Open up the parcels & add a handful of rice noodles before sealing again & popping back into the oven for the last 10 mins ...I’d be tempted to add the veg in at this stage too depending on how well done you like your veg! ~
But yes Alfie and Maisie approved so perhaps one to try at home too! 😉
Off to finish my packing as we’re off to Jersey tomorrow...🤗....so might be a bit quiet on here for the next couple of weeks...I’m sure I’ll spam you a bit on stories #sorrynotsorry

“I’ll start my program on Monday” is what I hear all the time. Keep in mind that your body does not know what day of the week it is. All it knows is what you put in it and how much you are burning.
Calorie count? No idea. Macro count? Uhhhhhh what’s a macro? Delicious count? 500/10.
I am all about teaching sustainable nutrition habits. I learned mine with portion control containers. Every once in a while I bust them out to do a gut check to make sure I’m not being too creative with my portion sizes :)
