Do moms have uniforms? If so this is mine today.
FUN FACT: on average I wear three outfits a day 😲 1. Workout clothes 2. Non sweaty clothes for after the workout 3. PJs
looks different depending on the day. But Monday-Friday it generally looks like this.
Let’s talk about how that plays out at school drop off and pick ups. My mind always tries to consider perceptions and even insecurities of others and within my own mind. Someone like me often envies the moms who get to wear yoga pants all day long. I often wonder what judgement is being passed to me as I walk my kids into school wearing my “professional attire.” And while yes, I’m sure some of that exists, I also know there are a lot of moms who actually wish they could be dressed up for work outside of the home. To be seen as more than a taxi driver, housekeeper, chef, etc and be seen for her incredible intelligence and non-domesticated abilities.
If that’s you, I see you. I value you. You are in a place right now that requires so much of you. Never feel less than who you are and I’ll try not to either. I’ll try not to feel inadequate because I can’t stay home with my children. We are all on a different journey for a reason. And God loves us all the same and has beautiful purposes for us. So whatever your “momiform” where it proudly. With self-love and self confidence. Wear it as the queen that you are. 👸👸🏻👸🏼👸🏽👸🏾👸🏿
