Suitcase: ✅underwear, ✅socks, ✅homeopathic kit...I have learned my lesson (the hard way on a transatlantic flight with a sick 3 year old). This little blue essential remedy kit has saved our a** over and over. For example, we just went to Great Wolf Lodge for some family fun, in 2 days we used: arsenicum (stomach cramps), nux vomica (over indulgence at the buffet), chamomilla (calming over excited kids), mag phos (growing pains), pulsatilla (some stuffed up pool noses), and sepia (1000s of screaming kids; this mama needs some support). Advil/tylenol try to do all that! ✴
For most of my career my ridgid logical evidence-based brain discounted homeopathy (as does media and conventional medicine). Quackery 🦆, right?! How could a substance diluted, until seemingly nothing left, have any power? Until I tried it when I was out of options... and it blew my mind 💥 ✴
I still don't understand the HOW, but I KNOW (over and over) that it DOES. It is effective in a deep, quick, versatile, safe, and effective way that is different from any other medicine. It can be used for both minor actute conditions and more complex ones, physical and mental/emotional health. Much like essential oils are found in many home medicine cabinets today, homeopathy has historically had this role (as well as used in many medical institutions and hospitals)... (and dare I say with deeper benefit than oils can achieve!). ✴
I am also at a point of my career and life that I can be comfortable in this paradox. Often I know the biochemistry down to the last molecule, and sometimes, medicine has healing power beyond my understanding. Because, the more you know, the more you know you don't know. ✴
I am by no means a homeopath, but homeopathy has been a surprising and interesting addition to my personal and professional medical toolbox.
Do you use homeopathy? Would you be interested in learning more? ✴
