I had the pleasure of meeting some important #MidwestNPS
folks yesterday to discuss trends and ideas happening both within the region and agency wide. It allowed me to step back and think about how parks function — as natural spaces of beauty, centers for cultural and historic preservation, or both in some instances — and the importance of utilizing large and small units as educational tools for people of all generations.
We live in such a multi faceted time of technology, development, and change, and leadership within the @nationalparkservice
is moving towards bringing our methods of disseminating knowledge up to speed. The next time you visit any park — although I’m hoping more will add @midwestnationalparks
to their lists — think about what you’d like to see or experience, share your thoughts, and let people in divisions like mine help you #FindYourPark
in the best ways possible.
