Earlier on, on the @FIBA
's Instagram account we came across another Nigerian who plays for the #Australian
National team. This time the junior category.
Nnenna popularly known as Agnes, joined the Under-16 Australian team for the FIBA Women's Asian Championship Cup, in India and won the title, plus qualifying them for the FIBA Women's Under-17 World cup. The Nation's Cup lasted from October 22-28, 2017. At six-feet tall, Nnnena averaged 11.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists.
The following year, at #FIBA
Women Under 17 @fibawc
tournament (Belarus, 21-29 July, 2018), their journey was cut short by France at the Semis. They emerged third position after defeating Hungary 57-51. Despite averaging 6.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists, Agnes had the highest efficiency (+13) during their last game, against Hungary, with four points, nine rebounds, five assists, and one steal. "I just want to make my mark and help the team out. I love this game." Agnes said.
