"The individual who wants to reach the top in business must appreciate the might and force of habit. He must be quick to break those practices that can break him - and hasten to adopt those practices that will become the habits that help him achieve the success he desires." - J. Paul Getty
I stepped out into a cool, misty morning and was greeted by delicate sunbeams gliding through the light fog through the leaves of our aspen tree.
I couldn’t quite capture the faint rays with my iPhone camera (you can see what I did capture in my story), but that golden like gut reminded me of this spot in western Oregon where I stood at a similar time of day, bathing in the light that poured down upon me through the mossy conifers under Mount Hood some four years ago.
Both equally magical moments, saturated in sunlight, watching the dewdrops burn from spiderwebs as the world awakened.
This is my latest and greatest attempt at capturing the Rho Ophiuchi Complex. Such a beautiful object to try to capture. Unfortunately this night the sky had intense natural airglow and gave an overwhelming green cast which ruins some of the contrast. I still got some good detail but with a better tracker and a more suitable prime lens I could have really pulled some detail out of this region. Can’t wait to go back and attempt to get an hour of good data rather than a measly 5 minutes. Astrophotography is an awesome challenge. .
Mendocino area is incredibly dark and dry in a fairly large area of the county due to extensive coastal ridges, small towns and vineyards. This makes for really optimal astronomy viewing and astrophotography opportunity. Middle of no where was never so nice.
Hope everyone has a weekend full of adventures!! I’ll be at work tomorrow wishing I was out there too! 🤗
But there's something about us I want to say
Cause there's something between us anyway 🌹

Wild Quinine in the Golden morning sun.
Bartel is looking quite lovely right now! I’m hoping to get a good shot of an area that has a nice mix of Prairie Blazing Star and Rattlesnake Master next week. My last shot I didn’t realize I had water droplets all over my lens until I got the photos into Lightroom! 🙄 live and learn, live and learn. 😂
There are also tons of Wild Bergamot, Quinine and Black Eyed Susan in bloom. Deep purple Leadplant is also getting ready to bloom. If you get a chance head to your local prairies to enjoy a beautiful morning among the wildflowers!
Magnanimous magnetized moments ✨🦖🙌🏼

When you come Cartagena and into the walled city, the vibrant colored homes is a photographers dream. Red, pink, blues, yellows, etc. Colombia in general, from my observations, embraces the spectrum of colors as the norm. Comparatively to the United States homes in these sorts of colors would be considered highly unorthodox. Perhaps it’s an item we could take note from our neighbors from the south that vibrancy should be embraced and uniqueness should be embraced.
While we predominantly shoot in SW Florida, we also shoot in other places, too. Here’s a shot @wideanglezen
nailed while visiting family back in Indiana.
