Killed that workout today! Normally the weekend is supposed to be two rest days, but I added in a total body cardio workout today and sweat it out! Pushing through on days where I am sore make it that much more rewarding! I am seeing so many subtle changes in my body and I am super excited about it. I can see that living a balanced lifestyle, following a simple nutrition plan and getting myself moving really is working for me and my lifestyle. I can’t wait to be able to get outside this summer with the kids and run around with them for the first time ❤️💪🏼

I think one of the biggest misconceptions about healthy eating is that you can only eat chicken and broccoli... and that you must cut out all carbs. 🙅🏼 . NOPE! I eat way more than I did before and I have finally found balance. Plus I’m eating ALL food groups and not feeling deprived. . Michael is out of town so I am flying solo. Goal for dinner tonight -- quick, healthy and something my children wouldn't fight me on. Goal for myself--- to stay on course with veggies most and protein. . Kids got protein noodles (w/ a side of cucumbers & strawberries) & I got 'mostly' zoodles & turkey meatballs (w/ a side of noodles). . Checked all the boxes!

There’s no need to deprive yourself of all the holiday treats in order to avoid holiday weight gain. Just practice what I call “strategic indulgence”. Don’t waste the calories on anything that isn’t totally amazing. Skip the crappy Costco cookies and the less than delectable items at parties or family gatherings, and hold out for that special food or treat that you can’t get year-round. 📢🚨Results alert! 🚨📢 I’m at the 4 week mark of my 8 week program. Yes, this is the one that builds in 3 rest days per week. I’m taking one today as I’m still recovering from Sunday funday. Yes, this is the one that has 30-40 minute workouts, no longer. Yes, this is the one that builds in cheat days in the nutrition plan (hence Sunday funday) What does all of that add up to? I’m down 5.2 lbs and 2.8 inches in 4 weeks! I had slacked off a bit on my nutrition and wasn’t really following any sort of plan leading up to this one. It was just what I needed to get me excited about the workouts again. The fact that I can work it in around my hectic schedule and not the other way around has been huge for me. So are you ready to try something new? August is a great time to start fresh! After a day of indulging in all of the 🍺🍕 yesterday (with 100% intention) I knew these two beauties had to be the start of my day. To 1. Set the pace of my day and 2. Replenish my body of the nutrients and lack of hydration from yesterday! Although, one would think there was a lot of that 😆 Our lives are full of moments of celebration, parties, birthdays, nights out, meals that don’t turn out and you end up ordering takeout (🙋🏼‍♀️) and I’m not willing to give ANY of that up for a meal plan...what I will do is live a life of balance so I CAN enjoy life and every single moment it has to offer, tomorrow, the next day, and forever after that 💃🏼 #liveandeatwithintention #notdeprivation
Most people think that when they change the way they eat they have to create restrictions. I was the same way. Restrictions and deprivation. It does not have to be that way. It is all about creating new habits. Absolutely. We can not be happy and healthy if we are not feeding our bodies properly. Eliminating foods that cause us harm and do nothing for us nutritionally need to removed. My daughter has always had a strong drive to learn all the colors, numbers, what things are called, what things say, what words and signs mean, what letters mean. To the point that it sometimes causes frustration not knowing. We first noticed it because she would record these things into her memory from hereing other people mention them in their conversations or from watching it on an iPad video that she would look up herself, then to our surprise she would repeat the information back to us that we had not taught her when she was a small toddler. It was clear we had to give her the chance to expand on these things! Many school systems keep all children at the same level of development or try to get them to learn something that some aren’t willing to learn in a uniform way yet. Here all children will have the opportunity to expand on those things that are most intriguing to them and in fact are encouraged and given the tools to develop them. Whether it’s reading and writing “early”...art, culinary, physical etc. There is no early or late each child is interested in different things on their own time. Fun win of the day: after the stressful evening I had, I would usually get pizza as the easy comfort food that’ll fix my day. Tonight, I had no craving for pizza, I was excited for our protein and veggies. I’m excited about this shift in mindset! It’s amazing how cravings go away when you stop telling yourself “no!” 😋🥗🍩
Down over 🤩FOUR POUNDS🤩 after a day of using my new tracker. Guys, I don’t think you understand how hard I’ve been struggling to achieve any kind of weight loss for the last several months. I can get the scale to go up by that much in one day but going down that much? That hasn’t happened in a LONG time. In fact, it has been going up far more than it’s been going down. I’m definitely feeling justified in my decision to fully commit to this program and back off from keto. I can honestly say that this is the first time I’ve been so by the book when it comes to following the prescribed plan and it’s exciting to see that it works 😂 Dude, after I was done eating for the day I calculated how many calories I’d had (just out of curiosity) and with the preworkout and postworkout supplements I take, I had over 2400 cals! That’s what I’m talking about. I am NOT about deprivation. Excited to see what the next few days brings for results!

Y’all don’t even know 👌🏼 I was made fun of TEN TIMES more when I started getting healthy than when I was overweight and miserable. I kept silent about my healthy lifestyle at the beginning because I was so worried about the rude comments people would make at me, and even more-so, behind my back. When people started asking me what I was doing to look & feel better, they judged my response afterwards. Even though THEY came to ME 🙈 Now I COMPLETELY understand there are some obnoxious healthy people out there, but there’s just as many obnoxious unhealthy people...& we shouldn’t judge the next healthy/unhealthy person based on the person before them. If someone isn’t depriving their body, but is doing something GOOD for it, why on earth would you judge that? 🤔 You’re not born into that lifestyle, everyone has a backstory to why they chose to change...& it usually isn’t pretty 😔 🙏🏼 A man once said, “If you found the cure to a disease would you keep it to yourself? No!
