It’s not easy to feel sorry for a food, but in the case of eggs, I make an eggception (lolz 🤓) . . This is actually a very old school myth that started out in the 1970’s believe it or not. And despite over 40 years of research, eggs still get a bad rap as an ‘unhealthy’ food. 🥚 . . Eggs ARE high in cholesterol, but its dietary cholesterol. This doesn’t mean they will GIVE you high cholesterol. That’s like saying carrots are orange, and I don’t want to turn orange, so I don’t eat carrots 🥕🤦🏼‍♂️ . . There are many factors involved in causing and treating high cholesterol, far beyond the scope of this post. My point is, don’t fear eggs. They are absolute nutrient bombs. The yolks contain many essential vitamins like vitamin A, D, B6 and B12. The whites are one of the most complete protein sources you can get. 💪 . . You can drink all the caffeine, coke and alcohol, eat all the fast food, crisps and chocolate, and nobody questions it. Eating “perfectly healthy” while traveling isn’t always easy or even possible. We’re tempted by foods we don’t normally come by, or maybe we can’t find the foods we usually rely on. My motto with this situation is: ***Do the best you can with what you’ve got! And if you don’t end up eating exactly what you planned, THAT’S OK!*** Be proud of yourself for making the best choices that you could in that circumstance. If you went off track a little bit, don’t beat yourself up about it. Roll with it, and just be more mindful with the next meal. I don’t usually eat chocolate praline bites that “contain milk and soy” for breakfast, but the market near me didn’t have my usual breakfast picks (coconut chips, chocolate avocado cream...) so I went with the banana and chocolate snack instead. I had some organic early grey tea that I’d brought with me, and BOOM, breakfast was born. We are excited to finally have a free weekend to spend together and to celebrate we went to brunch at our favorite local restaurant to treat ourselves! 😍 • So we realized we ordered way too much food, but it was all so good! We are taking our caramel roll to go since we are so full! We shared this food between the two of us since I can never decide if I want something sweet or savory.
