Good morning all,
back in the hot seat for one last time.
Today is my last day being a member of this fantastic group of photographers. Unfortunately other commitments have meant I’ve had to make the difficult decision to leave, but nothing will change on my own page. It’s been a real pleasure and privilege, not only posting my own images on here for all to see, but also seeing all the contributions that everyone else makes who follows and tags #thelakelanders
So without further adieu, todays image is one of my favourite views in the Lake District, that being the Langdale Pikes, which can be seen from many locations. This was taken almost a week ago on Friday morning when I had a run out to Blea tarn for sunrise. I’d been up here a few weeks prior but the light was very flat, so I decided to have another crack when I thought conditions would be better. To get to this view you need to be up on Lingmoor Fell which I accessed via the side of Side Pike seen below. You can either park in the National Trust car park near the tarn, or there are a few spaces near the cattle grid further along the road before you drop down to Great Langdale. There are plenty of compositions both around where I was stood, and just below by the stone wall, which makes a great leading line.

Have a fantastic day all, and thank you. —————————————————————-
