There are 6 months between these photos, A LOT of hard work and a very small but very important difference! The back is full of many large and small muscle groups which makes it hard to isolate and very hard to grow without consistency + determination. Over the last 6 months I have lifted heavy and pushed myself as much as I could! That is something to celebrate right there 🙌🏼
Many of you that have been following me for awhile know that I have always struggled with chronic back pain. So, for me, growing my back the way I wanted had to be a careful process. I needed to challenge my muscles without straining them which forced me to lift lighter and feel less of an intense muscle burn (which is what I strive for in the gym!!). This got discouraging for me because I felt as if I wasn't making progress! As much as I truly believed I wasn’t, I kept pushing myself and working harder because I recognized that in the past, my progress was not visible until I could compare two pictures side by side! When you are looking at your body every day the changes begin to blend together and thus masks any progress you ARE making.
I know we ALL get this way sometimes. We feel stuck, and things begin to seem pointless. This is why I am such a strong believer in taking progress pictures! It allows you to SEE the difference side by side and really puts that extra little drive back into your workouts!
Anyway, I am super proud of these little wings and wanted to utilize this transformation to remind you that progress no matter how big or how small needs to be celebrated! 🎉
I am proud of this transformation and I hope it gives atleast a few of you that motivation to KEEP PUSHING! I promise it will pay off in the end 🤗
