Today’s reflection is about love and what it means to us, how society educate us about it. From TV, music, and every culture in general are trying to make us think without a couple we are no one in this world, we cannot be happy or completed. In so many cultures this is an issue, and after 30s you need to have a partner, or you will be getting “old” for that, which sounds really sad.
Thankfully in some cultures this is starting to change, and I am not saying that having a couple is bad, not at all, I am just saying that not having it is no bad either.
We don’t need anyone to complete our happiness, we need to learn how to be happy ourselves, so that we can SHARE love when we find it, not need it or expect it. And if we would understand this, life would be pretty much different.
That is why today I decided to inspire with this and share John Lennon best quote ever, which has followed me since I remember:
“They made us believe that each one of us is the half of an orange, and that life only makes sense when u find that other half.
They did not tell us that we were born as whole, and that no-one in our lives deserve to carry on his back such responsibility of completing what is missing on us: we grow through life by ourselves. If we have a good company it’s just more pleasant.”
So remember, the other half its also YOU ❤️ love yourself fully so that you can fully love others, from the heart and not from the need. 🧘🏽♀️😊❤️
Do you do something to fully love yourself? Check if you do everyday something you enjoy, at least one thing, that would be a good start.
