We finally decorated our Christmas tree🎄 and added the homemade salt dough ornaments we had made. We put some Christmas Spirit essential oils blend on them to make the whole room smell great. Orange, Cinnamon, and Black Spruce pure essential oils, instead of carcinogens from candles - I'm so thankful we made the switch almost 2 years ago.
Happy Holidays, everyone!⭐
My Mother's Orange Cake
Fragrant moist and tender old fashion orange cake made with freshly squeezed orange juice and flavored with orange zest.
It has more of the texture of a pound cake but is easy to make. I remember my mother (God Bless Her Soul) making this cake without measurments, she used to use a bowl to add the dry ingredients and she was dumping liquid ingredients directly from the original containers... .. ending with the most fragrant moist cake .. I call it my mother's cake because it was her every time solution for unexpected guests. it was her first cake to make and the cake I'll always remember and longe to eat 🍊🍋. It brings warmth and comfort during family and friends gatherings .
*** I tppped it off with coconut shavings just like my mother used to do 😊
