I’ve been getting tested lately.
And honestly I’ve felt really weak the past couple days. But here is what I have learned.
1. most of the time, people project. Whatever they are going through in their life, they will exude it onto you. Remember that old saying, “I am rubber, you are glue. Whatever you say bounces off me and sticks back to you”? It’s crazy how we all knew this when we were adolescents, but somehow forgot it along the way.
2. if most the time people project, that means you do, too. If there is a pattern going on in your life and you don’t know why, it’s time to take a look in the M I R R O R. Extreme ownership is rare these days.
3. let it go. If people project, then take everything with a grain of salt. Sometimes they can’t see past their own world or perspective. And be a light. Fill yourself up when you need it and always respond with an open heart. Once again, we don’t know what someone is struggling with.
Feeling as tall as this 🌵A couple weeks ago, on #GetYoLifeMonday
, we talked about habits and the importance of changing our habits when we transition to different stages in our lives. Compared to last year, I am at a completely different stage in my life. I’m still struggling, but I now have the ability to change my reality when it just doesn’t suit me. I have a bit more freedom in deciding how I want to live my life. Because this is all so new, it sometimes takes me a while to remember that. But moments, like these, help me to remember.💛✌🏾 •
