is owned by Algoma and is 730 feet long. Built in 1967 she can carry 31,000 tons.
is also owned by Algoma and is a tanker that specializes in hazardous fuels. She is 426 feet long, was built in 2007 and can carry 11,000 tons.
is owned by Canadian Steamship Lines and she was built in 1969 and is the same length as the Tim S Dool at 730 feet (SeawayMax length, meaning both can pass through the St. Lawrence Seaway) and she can carry 30,000 tons.
Sad fact about CSL Tadoussac is that when she was launched in 1969, she slipped out of her blocks and down the ways too early and killed two workers who were preparing for launching the freighter.
and I love seeing any freighter passing by...even the ones that aren't thousand-footers 😁
