One of the biggest games that one can play with themselves is to lie to themselves.
It can be in any form. Something as small as "I hate this person", even though you actually really connect to them and know it deep down inside to something as big as "that I am perfectly okay" when you are not doing okay at all.
Not being okay is absolutely fine.
As hard as it sounds to accept it, we must find the courage to do so.
Life isn’t constant. Its full of changes. Good and bad both.
Do you go into hiding the hospital if you are suffering from jaundice or any other ailment? No. We visit the doctor and seek the appropriate treatment for it.
So why does asking for help if we don't feel okay mentally seem so hard?
What is it that makes it so hard for us to accept we have a problem and we need to fix it.
Its simple. It us.
Its all in our heads.
What people will say?
What will our family feel and think?
People will talk either way so why harm yourself for other people.
Please stop doing that to yourself.
There is no problem in talking about it or seeking help.
Talk about what makes you feel not okay openly, acknowledge it and fix it because its totally okay to not be okay.
And for people who want to help themselves we have platforms like #Roohbaru
an NGO that provides online consultations with mental health professionals in Pakistan.
Stand up for YOURSELF and help YOURSELF.
Its never too late and its totally okay to not be okay.
