Twenty some years ago, my mom put the toddler me on a #motorcycle
for the first time. With my hands outstretched, barely long enough to reach the #handlebars
, something primal clicked. Since then, I’ve alway imagined what it was like to ride. For one reason after another — (China banned motorcycles when I was 10; after moving to Canada the warm seasons never stayed for that long; etc.) — that dream was tucked away, I thought for good.
After moving to California, the stars somehow aligned and that inkling to explore the #freedomOfTheRoad
and to feel the roar of the engine was re-ignited.
I found a group of people who shared this excitement and learned how to ride by taking lessons and practicing on my own. Fast forward to today, I tried a blue #triumph #caferacer
that belonged to one of the mechanics at #dubbelju
motorcycles in #sanfrancisco
. Its riding experience blew my mind and I decided to get my own #cafe
bike. Luckily enough this beautiful #custom #t100
came into view. The previous owner took great care of it before handing it off to #MotoJava
to be sold. I decided it was my turn to take it on. Looking forward to having fun exploring #California
while staying safe on this beautiful bike.
