A walk to remember.
Do you ever felt an emptiness when you reach somewhere alone that you went perviously with someone? Your mind will recall the events from your memory one by one. You guys talked about endless things previously, You were happy for no reason, eat food from the street, walked along the road, crossing the roads a million times, waiting for a perfect sunset near by the seaside while feeling the wind in your hair, posing for the perfect selfies, clicked hundreds of pictures, you people mocked someone in your group, rushing to escape from the rain, waiting for a bus or cab from somewhere to somewhere.
Do you ever felt this? This time you're all alone , but smiling while recalling the old memories.
The last time when I was here, I was with my favourite people.
Mumbai, the place where my heart told me to go, often called the city of dreams or the city that never sleeps. Contradictory but one can felt both here in Mumbai.
◆ Book update: The Shooting Star #theshootingstar
Shivya Nath quit her corporate job at age twenty-three to travel the world. She gave up her home and the need for a permanent address, sold most of her possessions and embarked on a nomadic journey that has taken her everywhere from remote Himalayan villages to the Amazon rainforests of Ecuador. Along the way, she lived with an indigenous Mayan community in Guatemala, hiked alone in the Ecuadorian Andes, got mugged in Costa Rica, swam across the border from Costa Rica to Panama, slept under a meteor shower in the cracked salt desert of Gujarat and learnt to conquer her deepest fears. With its vivid descriptions, cinematic landscapes, moving encounters and uplifting adventures, The Shooting Star is a travel memoir that maps not just the world but the human spirit.
