So I’ve been hesitant to post about the VIP experience with @miyavi_ishihara
but I’m really honestly disappointed in what happened. We were supposed to have early entry but that almost didn’t happen due to venue staff, until we all asserted ourselves rather aggressively to get in.
Then after the show, @miyavi_staff
was pretty rude in dealing with us... and to everyone’s surprise, we were only allowed a handshake, 30 seconds with MIYAVI and a GROUP photo. A group photo! No hugs, no autographs, NO time to tell MIYAVI how much he means to us. I paid a total of $500 for VIP tickets to LA and San Francisco and am driving a total of about 1500 miles to meet MIYAVI, the man who has saved me so many times... and yet I am being denied what I paid for. I had an 8” x 10” photo of MIYAVI and I together last year, trying to have it signed. Miraculously, I managed to keep it safe during the show... only to be rejected by MIYAVI AND his staff. And I just wanted an individual photo with MIYAVI but nope. I would like to believe it was @miyavi_staff
who ruined VIP experience and not @miyavi_ishihara
himself... and I REALLY hope tomorrow night in SF is better.
Don’t get me wrong, he puts on a great show... but this experience has left me a little devastated and heartbroken.
Edit:: forgot to mention that the group photo was taken on some assistant’s phone and hasn’t even been posted anywhere. 😣
