Mary Queen of Scots: Margot Robbie and Saoirse Ronan look regal as they grace the red carpet premiere of Mary Queen of Scots in Leicester Square on Monday evening. Saoirse wore a Tudor style Carolina Herrera dress, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, a Jimmy Choo bag, and Chopard jewels. Margot opted for a stunning pastel blue polka-dot Rodarte gown with a plunging neckline. Robbie, originally from Queensland but now living in LA, plays Queen Elizabeth I in the period drama, which focuses on the events that led the English queen to order the execution of her rival, the Queen of Scots, Mary Stuart (Ronan). .
It took nearly four hours every day to transform Robbie into Elizabeth I, including the placement of a red wig, prosthetics and white face paint. “I could barely move my face because there was so much prosthetics. It’s glued-down plastic on your face,“ Robbie said in a recent interview. The clothes were very restrictive, as they were at the time. It helped — I felt claustrophobic, I felt trapped.” She added the experience shooting the movie made her feel “lonely”. “It was very alienating. And I felt very lonely.” Which Queen will you be rooting for? #MaryQueenOfScots
