What a performance, I'm feeling really good. Bayern is kinda the only thing I look forward to now, school is busy as heck and I'm behind schedule. But that doesn't stop me from watching matches.
For the defense, Ulreich was insanely good as everyone could see, no worries at all starting him against Madrid. Hummels was below par, I hope he steps up his game against Hannover just before the Madrid match, I personally would play him. Boateng was in absolutely beast mode, usually I critisize him for being sloppy but today he was sharper than a knife. Amazing long passes too as usual. A great relief, hope he stays on that type of form agqinst Madrid. Kimmich was decent, quite involved but nothing special. Alaba was really good, subbed off for Rafinha who got a great assist, but other than that nothing much.
For the midfield, Thiago was poor in the first half but was much much better in the second. Sule came on for him, it was late so Sule didn't do much. Javi was fine but I expected him to be more involved in the game. Muller was brilliant, great hattrick and I occasionally saw him defending too, he can do it very well actually. James came on for him later in the game too, didn't do much either. Ribery and Robben were amazing. Not playing like 34/35 year olds at all, no wonder they got a contract renewal. Lewy scored 2 but should be more involved, started well but slowly dissapeared. But good to see him helping out at the start rather than just waiting for the ball.
Overall, Leverkusen actually played pretty good, but we were unstoppable. I did see a few defensive mistakes which we must work on, hopefully Jupp sees them as well. Our attack is amazing now, defence just needs a slightly polish and the treble is ours.
