Me abrazaste.

Today Stella and I had our annual Christmas photoshoot. 🎄
It‘s become one of my favourite activities and never fails to put me in a good mood. Especially because we were listening to Christmas songs the whole day. 🎶🎅🏼 Since we‘ve been doing this for 4 years now, it‘s okay to call it a tradition now, isn’t it? What’s your favourite unofficial tradition? ❄️
Btw, Akito and I have the same sweater. How awesome is that?? #twinningiswinning#whpjoyful ✨

On December 6th, 7-year-old Jakelin Caal walked across the U.S. border with her father. They turned themselves in with the hopes of gaining asylum. Twenty-seven hours later, she died of dehydration and shock.
More than eight hours after entering United States custody, records from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection show that the little girl started to have seizures. According to a statement from CBP, she “reportedly had not eaten or consumed water for several days.”
She died a few hours later in a hospital in El Paso.
El Paso County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the results of the autopsy once the report is complete, which could take up to eight weeks.
It is still unclear whether the young girl’s death was in part due to mistreatment within CBP.
So tomorrow will be 8 years since this man proposed to me. We were at the Christmas tree in downtown St. Augustine at Nights of Lights ❄️and he said he had a present. 🎁 I was confused because I didn't bring his Christmas presents. He had the ring in a box in his sock all night. 😂😁😂
At first I didn't answer because I couldn't believe he really wanted to go down the road of blending a family and enduring some pretty crazy times that I knew were ahead. We each have 2 kids to add to the fun.😬🙄😜
To top it off, I was running a marathon the next day so things were a little crazy, but of course, I said yes and wanted to marry him and his kids. I figured we would work out the details as we went...and we did. I had no idea what the details would be.😱
The last 6 1/2 years of marriage have come with some incredibly amazing times 💕and some rollercoaster times. We have always been strong together, but logistics have been crazy.🙄
To get the kids to 3 different schools in 2 different counties almost an hour apart was challenging and I sometimes wonder how we actually got through the days. 🤪😜We were on the road ALL the time. It was all worth it and luckily the kids have always loved being together and they are all doing great.
🙌Now with 2 in college, a high school freshman and high school senior, I feel like I blinked and it all flew by.
👉Challenges exist every day, but how we handle them is most important. Communication is key and realizing your partner is human, too helps. As our pastor says: I didn't marry Jesus. I am not Jesus. We need Jesus in our marriage. 🙏BOOM! That's it for us.
🎄Merry Christmas. Sending love to all! Swipe left for an overload of Mike and Kim pics😁😁💕
