What goes through my mind before I lift?
Like everyone with proper technique through whatever movement/exercise, goes about things in a slightly different manor.
My routine is OCD like and slightly changes from time to time.
-Breathe all the air out at the top(calming affect on me)
-Shake all the fatigue out of my arms and get them in a comfortable position straight ahead of the bar
-Bar is literally rubbing on my shins
-3 big lat locks+ 3 heavy exhales, 3rd time is always the kick off to the 1st rep no matter what.
-Then LIFT! Power,Power,Power.
-At the end of the reps(6 on this occassion) I'll acknowledge the weight and if I was happy with it I'll give it a quick nod to either side at the top range of that 6th rep, then drop it.
This is my way and I love it. 🤪😁💪
(I still have alot of work to do to per-fect this movement but I'll keep at it)
