Last day of my first rotation in the UGA Infectious Disease Department. I learned so much about virology and vaccine research! Today was filled with bacterial transformations, quantitative PCR, and gel electrophoresis as I tried to get the correct plasmid for my project to grow! As a bonus, I got to attend a seminar from the deputy director of the National Institutes of Health on the future of biomedical research! Now I will spend the next 6 weeks in a lab studying how overstimulated immune cells contribute to cystic fibrosis. #science #uga #universityofgeorgia #lablife #NIH #integratedlifesciences

Something I wanna talk ab / discuss.
I think something that makes Georgia so special, isn’t just the elite talent, coaching, and pursuit, but our depth is something that makes us very dangerous. And with us obviously not red shirting Fields and Fromm controlling the starting job, I would like to see a lot more of Justin Fields, and I think we will in the future. Although all coaches deny a “specific package” with the 2 QB’s, I think that there will be a certain situational type system where we throw Fields in to change the game and swing momentum. I don’t think this will be much of a big deal until later in the season when we play better teams (LSU, AUB,). How do you think UGA should work both quarterbacks in? -

S/O to my mom for this beautiful football helmet for Ian’s 8/12 B-Day! She got the most talented painter I know, my uncle, to paint it & nearly all of the football players to sign it! That’s love, thanks you two! #G
