Overnight oats are my weekly breakfast go to. I love these so much beacause you can meal prep 4-5 at a time and store them in the fridge. They make for an easy grab in the morning if you are busy and do not have time to make breakfast. They are packed of fibre, and will keep you full straight up until lunch. Want to know why I rave so much about fiber? We do not have the enzyme to digest it, therefore it moves through our digestive system fully intact. It moves much slower, keeping you full and satiated much longer. What does this mean? A reduced daily caloric intake, which can lead to weight loss! Start eating more fiber to reach your weightloss goals!
This is my favourite overnight oats recipe. It's for one serving, so scale up for the the amount you are making :) Vegan Overnight Oats
1/3 cup oats
1/4 cup vegan yogurt
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp sliced almonds
5 drops stevia or any other healthy sweetener of choice
1/2 cup frozen sliced strawberries
1/2 cup frozen mango
In a bowl:
Mix yogurt, oats, almond milk, chia seeds, almonds, and stevia together and allow to sit and thicken for a few minutes.
In a mason jar:
Scoop 1-2 spoonfuls of the mixture into the bottom of the mason jar. Add in a layer of frozen mangos and strawberries. Continue the layering until the mason jar is full. Store in the fridge for 4-5 days. Wait at least 8 hours before consuming to allow for the oats to absorb the liquids. Enjoy!

Children love animals and want to protect them from harm but grow up to do the opposite. We need to stop conditioning children to do things that go against their human nature.
is a time of year when millions of animals are killed as a ‘sacrifice’ but surely a sacrifice is when YOU give something up. You can’t sacrifice an animal as their life is not yours to take or give.
These animals are not ‘happily sacrificing themselves’ as many people believe. They want to live but humans kill them against their will.
To those observing this year, please sacrifice something of yours. Sacrifice your money to help the hungry. Sacrifice your time to help the homeless. Sacrifice your possessions to help others less fortunate. You can’t sacrifice somebody else’s life.
My Eid Al Adha posts are always controversial and understandably so as they cause religious people to feel conflicted but just know that this isn’t a criticism of you, your faith, your religion or your beliefs. It’s a plea for a kinder world for all beings so that both humans and animals can live in peace.
Ask yourself one simple question - if we can live happy healthy lives without harming animals, why wouldn’t we? 💚🌱

🌟Eating healthy snacks but not losing weight?🌟
✅I love ice cream. ✅I love almonds. BUT.. when it comes to choosing between the two, you may be sabotaging your fat loss if you opt for a 1/2c of almonds rather than eating a 1/2c serving of ice cream.
Now, don’t get me wrong, 🥜 almonds are a great snack - they are not processed, contain lots of nutrients, benefits and no preservatives. 🍨 Ice cream on the other hand, has a lengthy ingredient list, added sugar and preservatives.
☝🏼But... you could eat the entire pint of ice cream for 100less calories than the 1/2 cup of almonds. At the end of the day, if you’re trying to lose fat, what really matters is being in a calorie deficit (consuming less calories than you burn in a day). If you’re eating nuts as a snack, just watch those portions.
🥜 Let me repeat this again.. almonds are an awesome snack, but ONLY if you keep portions in check! If you’re sitting back with a bag of almonds, I can guarantee you’re eating more than a portion size to the faaace (only 15-20 almonds) 😭 Including almonds in your diet is totally A-okay!
Why do almonds (and nuts/nut butters) have so many calories? Well, because nuts are primarily fat, which are very calorically dense (9 calories per gram, compared to 4 calories per gram for carbs or protein). They also are easily palatable - meaning you can eat a lot in a sitting.
Believe me, I wish a serving of almonds was WAYYYY larger, but unfortunately we don’t get to decide that 🤦🏼♀️ Use your thumb as a built-in measurement to see how much fat you should be eating.

Just wanted to share our vegan arroz chaufa (Peruvian fried rice) recipe.
1. Start off with a pan. Add a tablespoon of canola/olive oil. Add half a tablespoon of sesame oil.
2. Get your veggie sausage. I used the one from the second picture, the brand is Lightlife. I used about half of that (6 ounces). Cook it and separate it in the pan until it browns.
3. Add half a block of tofu. Tofu is a great substitute for egg (almost always found in fried rice). You literally just crumble it up with your hands as you add it.
4. Cook it for about 5 minutes. After that, I added another tablespoon of canola oil so that it doesn’t get dry, but that’s up to you.
5. Add cut up green onions.
6. Add a swirl of soy sauce.
7. Then you just cook it for another 2-3 minutes and add 2 cups of rice. Then you mix it and at that point you can turn off the heat and just let it sit there for a minute or 2 so that the rice warms up.
But that’s it! Honestly really easy. A classic Peruvian dish made vegan 🇵🇪👍
