Today is not only #WaltWednesday
but also #WorldMentalHealthDay
Disney is my home, and whatever stresses and episodes I’m going through; I will always feel my calmest and most happiest on a WDW trip. Okay, it’s a given my lifestyle and bank account won’t allow me to fly long haul every weekend just to get my fix. But when it’s all too much with life-admin and adulthood; I turn my bedroom into Pandora. My bedroom becomes a sensory garden, with coloured lights, scented candles, plants, flowers and meditation-based music and here is where I find inner-happiness and peace. I’m no stranger to mental health issues, and I’ve learnt it’s not difficult to look around you and find things to create an easy sense of calm. Finding calm each day for at least 10 minutes, is great for the soul and wellbeing.
In the words of Walt: “Why worry? If you do your very best, worrying won’t make things any better.”
Talk, change and find your happy place. Always be you and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind! Embrace being you, being a little different and unique. And know that there are always people who will listen to your story and talk to you...
