Do you struggle when trying to come up with a balanced meal ideas? There are few simple steps that you could follow to ensure your plates are always well balanced and packed with goodies! ✔1. Fill up half of the plate with veggies( totally up to your preferences). I personally don't like to count calories in veggies as these have high nutritional value and are usually high in water therefore you should not restrict yourself- I would rather say that veggies are calories free. ▶️On my plate I have added cucumber, cherry tomatoes and fresh spinach. ✔2.Add some protein ( again totally up to you and up to your dietary preference). ▶️I have added approximately 40g of feta cheese and 1 large egg. ✔3.Add some carbs. ▶️My today's choice is buckwheat- approximately 50g. ✔4.Finish up with fats and garnish. ▶️I have added half avocado, sprinkle of hemp seeds, fresh parsley and a sprinkle of lemon. Single Serve Banana Bread Cupcake (V) 🍌 - I seem to go through stages with my food obsessions, and at the moment I am very much in a Banana Stage. I just want all the banana muffins, banana bread, banana nice cream etc...🙋🏼 - So, over the weekend I decided to listen to my cravings and whip up a super simple, fluffy and wholesome Banana Bread Cupcake for myself as a delicious and satisfying snack. - This turned out so well, without needing any egg or egg whites (I’m always trying to accommodate for my vegan friends!), and as you can see from my video, it holds up really well and just melts in your mouth. - Also, somehow a dollop of peanut butter fell into the centre of my cupcake 🤔 I’m not sure how that happened, but I highly recommend it. - Ingredients: ▪️30g @happywayau Vanilla Pea Protein powder ▪️20g flour of choice (I used oat flour) ▪️50g banana, mashed ▪️80-10ml almond milk ▪️1 tsp baking powder ▪️1 tsp cinnamon ▪️Optional: 20g peanut butter in the centre, choc chips, walnuts, frosting. - Method: 1️⃣Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius, fan-forced. 2️⃣In a mixing bowl, combine flour, pea protein and baking powder. Stir to combine. 3️⃣Mash in the banana and almond milk and stir to combine wet ingredients into dry ingredients. 4️⃣Fold through any inclusions or peanut butter. 5️⃣Pour into a single serve, oven-proof ceramic dish or muffin holder and bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes. 6️⃣Top with delicious things. I topped mine with cream cheese frosting, more banana, @axiosfoods peanut butter chocolate and some of my FAVOURITE snack ever - the Peanut Butter Caramel Slice from @sneaky_wholefoods. I never would have thought I would be vegan...just 5 years ago...in fact I would of thought you’re mad for suggesting it. I had all the reasons. We were made to eat meat. We need animal products for protein, nutrients etc etc. and so it goes on. . As I became more committed to my health, I became vegetarian. All the deliciousness @officialveggieworld left me with a sore belly so now I'm fully dedicated to the nutrition plan 💪. • In all honesty though, it was worth it. • This bowl is my new go-to brekkie btw: cinnamon oat porridge with cinnamon apples, blueberries and seeds and a scoop of @vivolife vanilla protein. True miso is fermented and is very much a live food product, packed with healthy flora. PEAR, WALNUT & ROCKET SALAD! Now that the weather is warming up, it’s time to start making lots of delicious salads! This is one of my favourites that is a MUST try. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 . Ingredients: Rocket (medium bowl full) 1 Pear 1/4 red onion very thinly sliced 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped Parmesan cheese (about 2 tablespoons- adjust according to your love of cheese 😜) . Dressing: 1 tablespoons balsamic vinegar 2 tablespoons olive oil Squeeze of lemon Salt and pepper to taste Mix the dressing together and add to the salad and enjoy with your favourite protein!!
