I am an artist..
I have many people who influence my style and those I truly enjoy and follow there work..
The mythology and ethics in which they followed are almost as interesting as the lives they lead, and the stories behind there art are even more inspiring than the work itself..
I take myself as more than just a photographer, as the camera is just a useful tool in my story telling and I will one day move past this medium as it truly, just a tool of collection for my “visual library.” .
When I first read that my favorite photographer felt the same, I rested easy knowing that I wasn’t “cheating on” the other mediums that I love so much. It’s ok to see other “women” I thought to myself..as long as I treat them all equal, they should understand how much I love them all...
To my invisible mentors:
Henri Cartier Bresson, and the dear Vivian Meir, to you my work is a sincere homage. You did it for yourself as I do.. I do hoped to be remembered though.. it’s deeper than just pictures.
