Lights strung on palm trees is what I call Christmas! Just about 4 more weeks until my first Hawaiian Xmas holiday in over 3 years. I can't believe it's been so long.
If you celebrate, are you a before- or after-Thanksgiving tree decorator? 🌲 In my opinion, the earlier the better, because I'm always trying to stretch the holiday season out as long as possible 😂
Classic cars taking a pit stop at the most outback pub. Which, obviously I don’t remember the name of. 🚗
Jenna Almighty! Also I got my bag from Cartagena shopping district! If you visit, avoid buying things from stores but rather from street salesman, you can always talk down the price (within reason).
Where is your favorite place in the world?!
Sometimes in life, on the way to your journey, you need to stop for a while, look around and see how far you’ve gone. To realize that your life is actually getting better and better than the way it used to be. There’s always a surprise in every path we take, eventho sometimes it is not an easy way we’re facing, but there’s always a secret lesson we can take. Don’t ever regret the path that you choose. Cause at the end, it’s meant for you, for your personal growth, good or bad ❤️
Steve and I had an amazing sushi date and the sushi chef’s built this gorgeous fish sculpture presentation with lights and flowers and everything! This is the first restaurant we went to to eat together. We love it there. Low key wanted to congratulate Steve on reaching a major goal with his fitness but he didn’t do it for the fame so he’s 2nd and 3rd here. There’s exactly a one year difference. My baby has enough abs for both of us these days 😂 I’m so thankful for Steve. This is one of the hardest days in a while and he’s there, helping me get out the door and loving me through texts all morning even though he’s swamped at work too. I’m just so lucky. ❤️🥰
The A Bomb Dome was the only building left standing near the hypocenter of the explosion. It still stands today as a reminder of this tragic event. The entire park is so moving and is well worth visiting. The flame will be extinguished when nuclear weapons are abolished worldwide. #hiroshima #hiroshimapeacememorialpark
Why was I born with a heart
What better way to start your day than a nice, ice cold pose with a beer you hate. Lol! Seriously, I hate beer, but I love great photo composition. Ugh, @corona

“the more I learn to live my best life, beyond the confines of the commonly accepted norms of modern society, the more I recognize the responsibility that comes with all this freedom. .
there's a tangibly fluid tension in my bones as I navigate the paradox of my own wildness. no longer flirting with the self-sabotaging destruction of addiction, but rather stepping into both the hustle and the flow. finding balance among these natural highs and lows.
a way of living where doing feels mostly like being, and everyday adventures are often as subtle as they are extreme. and I make ends meet in ways that keep me living lightly with the land, surfing waves to my heart's content, and contributing the authentic gifts of purpose divinely bestowed upon my heart and mind as a means of supporting our collective evolution, our living-breathing consciousness revolution.
as I continue along this journey of freedom in the wind, committed to emancipating the bounds of my own socially conditioned slaveries, I accept the profound real-life responsibility of what it means to be, in many ways, living beyond reality.” - love, Tara 🌊❤️

Something funny happens anytime Sean and I talk about our van or all of our driving cross country with strangers... they shift their eye contact and start talking to Sean as if he is the only one who handles, drives, and cares for our van. It used to piss me off to no end, but at some point, I started loving it. I love the shocked look on their face when Sean tells them that he doesn't know anything about the van, he can't operate it, and that he doesn't even have a driver's license. Genuine shock. That's usually when I get, "where'd you learn to drive something that big?", a question they hadn't just asked Sean, but seems appropriate to ask me. "I learned to drive in a F-250, this is nothing." Shocked again. These moments dont make me angry any more, they make me proud. Proud that I broke the mold of what they think a woman is, or what we are capable of. Proud of my husband, who doesn't feel ashamed or threatened by me or my abilities, but encourages me to get better and "really show them". Proud that they doubted me, and then I shattered that doubt. Proud to be a fucking badass woman who does whatever she wants, because she can.

A little something orange for Halloween 🎃 ... from Kyoto! One of my favorite sculptures at Fushimi Inari is this fox holding a key in its mouth, located at the main gate of the shrine. In case you didn’t know, Japan LOVES to celebrate Halloween! ⛩ #kyoto #halloween2018

Am I in Chicago.... or Bavaria? Such a fascinating mix of architecture throughout The Windy City! This is the former Old Heidelberg Restaurant dating from the early 1930's. It's now a tea shop. 🍵🇺🇸#chicago
