Whenever we start something new, be it our asana and spiritual practices, an instrument, a new relationship, a job(or any xyz thing) often there is a lot of charm in the beginning. And sometimes as time goes by , that charm starts fading. I was listening to Gurudev @srisriravishankar
ji’s commentary on Patanjali Yoga Sutras and was once again struck by the beauty of it! He said if your experience is not as good as it used to be just check if you have been regular in it and if you have been, then check if you are doing it with honour and respect. When we respect our own body consciously every moment that is asana practice. When we respect the breath that is pranayama practice. A few weeks back in music class my teacher @jasonzac
said ,“ You don’t even have to work hard. You just have to respect what you do. If you respect it, you will make time for it ” and it struck a chord with me. When we honour and respect each moment of our life, life is full of joy , enthusiasm and charm. Everything that we do let us do it with respect and honour. My mantra for today : I will honour and respect the life within me, my spiritual practices, the music that I practice, the teachers from whom I learn and the knowledge I get to share. What are you going to honour and respect today? Leave a comment below and tag someone you wish to share this beautiful knowledge with. Let us spread more positivity in the world.
