‘Shimmering Fire’ is an original fluid acrylic pour painting. It’s painted on a 12.5cmx10cm mini canvas. The layering of colours and a few cracks between the colours adds depth as the gold paint shimmers throughout this mini artwork.

This was the first big painting project from 8+ months ago when I got back in to art after a 15 year hiatus. I described it to someone as "nothing to be professionally proud of" since it is very rudimentary and done with craft paints. But because the paint was cheap and the canvas recycled from a paint and wine class, I felt free to just play with it. I learned several lessons, including how to patch a hole when you put you finger through the your 🤷🏼♀️ inspired by a photo of my niece so I'll give it to her as a gift 🎁
