Where Are They Meow Monday 🐱: Latte is doing great and has become very adventurous in her new home. She jumps on everything and absolutely loves sitting in the sink, and most recently windows, now that the nice weather is showing up. When the kids are outside playing she sits at the window and watches them and meows when they get close to the house. Best of all Latte is quite a love. 😍
We currently have a couple of lovely dogs that have been very unlucky and haven't recieved a huge amount of suitable interest, and so we thought we should share them with you to help them find their new homes.
Amina is a 7 year old border collie who is looking for a collie experienced home that can continue some ongoing training with her. She is happy to walk with polite dogs when on walks, but would need to be the only pet in the home. Amina could potentially live with teenage children. She loves to go for walks, as well as a swim! https://www.bluecross.org.uk/pet/amina-1113189?type=adopt
Fia is a 6 year old German shepherd x collie who is also looking for a very experienced home. Fia can find the world a little scary at times, and so will need owners than can continue some training with her to help manage this and build up her confidence. Fia also needs to be the only pet in the home, but could live with teenage children. https://www.bluecross.org.uk/pet/fia-1111898?type=adopt
Please apply if either of them sound like they might be for you, and please share! :-)
Happy Easter from us to you 😘!!
Dog Update 🐶: Sadie (now Meech) was adopted this past January and is having the best time in her new home...
“Our Meech, formerly Sadie, has blessed us with so many laughs and memories in the few short months she has had us. She loves to go to the dog park in our community and has made best friends with several other lovable rescues - Luna, Molly and Peyton are now her crew. She started daycare once a week this past week, and excelled - she had a blast playing with about 50 other dogs and came home still full of energy.
She loves her 4am runs, her lunch time belly scratches, and her weekend hikes. We can barely keep up with the little mountain climber. She's gone through puppy training and not only is potty trained but rings a bell when she wants to go outside (She has tricked us once or twice when she knows her pals are out without her)! She likes to watch the Netflix show “Dogs” when she’s chilling on the couch and her favorite snack is carrots. Thank you so much for bringing her into our lives, we are looking forward to all the memories to come!” ♥️
and the livin’ is easy...Ivy, adopted just two short weeks ago, has clearly settled in to her new home. 🧡
Hap weekend doggos. I plan to find all the mud spas and bury my toys in them. What are you getting into?
Dog Update: Maggie (previously Daisy) was adopted by our very own volunteer, Jenna. Maggie clearly has a very tough life! 😜 She has come completely out of her shell thanks to her fur sister, Sophie, who is her new best friend! 😊
Dog Update 🐶: Jason is doing so well in his new home! He gets worn out everyday since he is outside a lot with his new parents. They have also discovered that he is not a morning dog and enjoys sleeping in. Happy Tails, Jason!! 🙂
“Meet Molly! Molly is a year and a half-year-old Border Collie/Labrador Mix with a beautiful black shiny coat, big brown eyes, and a sweet smile. Unfortunately for Molly, her family had to surrender her to the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. (RISPCA) due to a family member's health issues. Her stay at the shelter was short, and her new family wasn't too far away. "We saw her picture posted to the shelter's Facebook page and came in to meet her," said Molly's new owner. "After a wonderful first meeting we brought our ten-year-old pup back in, and they got along nicely." Congratulations to Molly and her new family!” - @upcountryinc #UpCountryCares #AdoptionTails
We’re so excited to share that Grace has found her forever home! Check her out with her new mama! 😍
“Kona came to us via the Boston-based rescue org @lasthopek9.
My husband and I had spent the previous nine years telling each other "No" each time the other floated the idea of getting a dog. Then we spent one night babysitting a friend's 8-week old child. Husband started the dog search the next night and I agreed the following morning. Two weeks after babysitting we brought Kona home, a terrified 7-year-old fellow. He's come a long way in the last year and we consider ourselves lucky - he's the perfect dog for us. I hope he's as smitten with us as we are with him.” #adoptiontails
Cooper was found down south tied to a guard rail on the interstate and now can’t stop smiling as he heads out of the shelter with his new family! Adoption makes all the difference and we’re so thankful to our fellow rescuers and adopters like you! ♥️
Champion dog selfie moment 😂
Where Are They Meow Monday’s: We posted an update a week ago about two kitties from DAWS that went home together (Frankie & Jacob). Jacob was the friendliest boy and Frankie was one of our shy cats that resided in the quiet room in the cattery. We received an email on the recent progress being made, although these pictures say it all...😸
“We left Frankie and Jacob in their own room for nine days, just to get them accustomed to the house and us. It has now been almost two weeks out of their rooms and they are adapting beautifully!! They go all over the place, play all night, and have a great time! They adore us and they're just love bugs!!
Frankie follows me around and when she wants to be petted, she meows and leads me upstairs to her bed...she’s such a princess! They've turned out to be amazingly wonderful kitties and have found a new sibling in each other. Thank you so much to DAWS for helping us be cat parents again!”
