DIY, MONEY-SAVING GREEN JUICE
Raise your hand if you’ve ever felt personally victimized by the price of fresh-pressed juice? 🙋🏼♀️ I mean, sometimes there’s a time and place when it’s important to treat yo’self (one of my favourites being @villagejuicery
) but for the most part, this is an expensive health trend that can be easily solved at home! Let me show you how:
ALL YOU NEED: a high-speed blender (I use the @thenutribullet
praying for @vitamixca
), a nut milk bag OR cheese cloth (literally like $8 on amazon), a few of your favourite veggies and some filtered water. That’s it!
I love a good detoxing, alkalizing green juice but feel free to play around with whatever ingredients you please! I am NOT anti-fruit, but I choose not add it as the high-sugar, low-fibre content of JUICING fruit is not ideal for keeping those blood sugar levels stable. If you like a little sweetness, I recommend adding a few whole stevia leaves to your blend!
My go-to blend has been ..
Put all of the ingredients in your blender and top with filtered water. Blend on high until well-combined. Place your nut milk bag (or cheese cloth) over a glass bowl and slowly pour mixture into the bag. Proceed by gently “squeezing” the liquid out of the of bag until there is only pulp remaining. Pour juice into a reusable jar and store in the fridge for 2-3 days. I swear this stuff is like liquid vitamins... #foodismedicine #caylicious
