Mongolia was magical. Massive open plains extending as far as the eye can see, beautiful lakes and gently rolling hills. People were perhaps the most welcoming we have met on this trip so far, often asking we if'd like to have dinner with them and never accepting money from us. We started to buy jewellery and toys for the kids as our thanks, which they appreciated much more.
Its a shame we couldn't stay longer but unfortunately the seasons are closing in on us and have the hardest trails yet to ride.. onwards to the BAM!
Shooting and the #10piecechallenge go hand in hand. Whenever I am #plinking or #hunting I find spent shells or beer/soda cans on the ground to pick up. As the weather cools down and your hiking more try bringing a small plastic bag to put 10 pieces of litter in.
The bridge over Lake Koocanusa. The lake was named for the treaty that was made between the Kootenai tribe, Canada, and the USA when the Libby Dam was built creating the reservoir. When I was creating my route, this bridge was just a way to get to Glacier. As I’ve learned time and time again....it’s the journey. #koocanusa#upshift_online
