My first AO Finals are in the books! I had a great snatch session with a 1kg PR at 133 which ended up being the highest in my category. .
I had momentum going into the clean and jerk but it just didn’t happen. That’s going to stick with me for awhile. I had my 5 minute pity party but now it’s time to get back to the gym and make sure that never happens again. .
Regardless of the weightlifting I am beyond grateful for all of the support from my family and friends! For my wife, my girls, my parents, family, and friends who were here with me today and watching online was amazing! I can’t put into words what that means to me but please know that it is greatly appreciated! .
And of course thank you Coach Chris for flying to Wisconsin to coach me through this meet. It was an incredible experience and I wouldn’t be here without your guidance. .

New Year New Me Project‼️ Back in summer of 2016 I began my advocare journey. I was skeptical of joining but my friends results were undeniable. It’s been one of the best decision I’ve ever made. My team of coaches are looking to help as many people as possible change their lifestyle and reach the goals you never thought you could! Starting January 7th there are three groups starting different challenges: 11 day bye bye belly, 24 day jumpstart and the 3 month 180 challenge. I’ve taken almost all of my “no’s” in life as failures. They were like swift punches to the gut that left me with a lot of shame. Even though I keep my faith in God and His plans for me, it always felt like a “you’re not good enough” more than anything else. But God didn’t make failures an identity, society did. Failures are an event. They don’t define who you are.
This realization has made me think about all of the times I’ve said “l’m just terrible at being bad at things”. How many times have I given up because I didn’t think I was good enough? How many work outs have I given little effort to because it wasn’t my strong suit? Even though I could’ve used it as an opportunity to improve. How many times have I felt like I would fail so I didn’t even make an attempt?
“Unfortunately, we’ve attached so much shame to the event of failure as a culture that most people are simply too afraid of it to ever do what is necessary to become great, and push through however many ‘no’s’ it takes to get their ‘yes’”.
Try and try again. Take your no’s as lessons. You deserve greatness.
So no one ever knew i had issues with weight and weight loss . i was one of those that was able to hide it very well but i did something to change that and it was starting a Healthier Life style with the assistance of the correct products and supplements from @advocare
. i couldn’t be happier with the results and were i am at now but their is much more to go further.

I’m 28. I noticed in my age group quitting whatever is uncomfortable is common and acceptable.
While we need to let some things go that do not serve us, there’s some things I commit to that I will not give up on when it’s hard. In order to grow you have to stretch and my goodness, it can hurt and is so uncomfortable. I wanted to quit so many times this year. My word was “show up.” I gave my all in all aspects. I failed a lot. I fell short. I had so many tears shed over goals I did not reach... YET. At times it was devastating.
But I have grown. I have won. I have accomplished things. That’s what matters. Fail forward. Remember WHY you do it. Mine was right in front of me tonight. Why I will never give up. Why I will strive to finish strong. Get back up. Fight for my purpose. It doesn’t matter what others do you guys, it matters what YOU do! Do not quit, especially if you’re doing it for your family! Put that game face on, have some grit, and you can do this! 💪
Quit when you’re done. You know what quitting is like. What about finishing strong?

Easy 2 miles. Kept getting faster, finishing around 9:15 per mile. No loss in speed. Left leg a touch sore, so I backed off. Felt like 5 miles would have been perfect. Next time maybe.

After pics are from when I started being intentional about how I was fueling my body.
I have definitely slacked off since selling the gym. I continued to workout but not near the consistency and intensity that I used to. Workouts were boring and hard to look forward to during this time. It definitely wasn’t a priority.
But... My fire has been lit again. It has become fun once again. Different goals, some different aspects, different stage in life but I’m ready!
