This is it! The last day of the Goals Challenge!
So, what happens if you train too much? Erinina answered that question beautifully in her post, so get over there and read it!
I am going to talk a bit about what happens if you underfeed yourself and train too much.
Remember your overarching and SMART goals? I am not going over them again, but I am going to ask you to reassess your goals one more time, and make sure that they are ones that are going to *nourish* your body AND *help* you reach your training goals.
If you are aiming to eat less than 1500 calories, that is probably not going to nourish your body, and will probably negatively affect your training goals. Friends, you absolutely CANNOT underfeed yourself and expect to perform well.
Your body WILL sabotage you. You WILL fatigue at some point, and it will probably be sooner than you would like. Your body WILL start to experience other symptoms of underfeeding (oh you know, feeling weaker, injuring easier, muscles not engaging as quickly or efficiently, fatiguing quicker, getting sick easily, and eventually bigger issues like muscle wasting, bone degeneration, lost menstrual cycles in females, low testosterone in males… and more things that suck). So I really encourage you to look at your nutrition goals and make sure they are adequate for your body AND your training levels. Your body and brain will thank you.
