This morning's downpour reminded me of the warm, yummy udon I had with my friends last week. At the new Udon Works on Dominion road!
: Agedashi tofu - entree. This is my partner's fave entree when we're at Japanese restos. The fried tempura bits added a nice, crunchy texture to the dish that I haven't experienced in other places. There was also some crushed garlic on the side - added a different taste level to the dish 😋
: Beef Sukiyaki Don - my main. First of all, the bowl was MASSIVE. Secondly, I would totally go back for this dish! Aside from the beef - which was my favorite part - I really enjoyed the egg and tofu strands. Most Sukiyaki Dons I've had don't have both so I was pleasantly surprised. #YUM
: Ikasumi udon - the partner's main. This is Squid Ink Udon. He wanted to try something different so went for this. I had a bit to taste and I have to say, I liked this Udon more than the udon in my Sukiyaki! There was also some deep fried squid - good, crispy texture to contrast the soft udon. I'd probably order this the next time we visit. #YUM
