When training SPEED, the emphasis should ALWAYS be on QUALITY over quantity.
Speed Training Guidelines:
Less than 40m per repetition with 1 minutes rest for every 10m run (all-out effort), max 300m total distance in one session. Example final progression: 5 x 10m, 4 x 20m, 3 x 30, 2 x 40 = 300m

We have had a few clients over there last 6 months recovering from ACL reconstruction & we use these sorts of drills in the later stages of their rehab. The hop down & jump works on their landing mechanics as well as their ability to then control their body moving forward straight away - which mimic’s similar movements in sport / exercise environments. Such exercises can have a role in a normal gym program and can also be great prehab!
Ensure the landing is soft and controlled.

Фризби — ловля летающего диска — по силам любой собаке: и небольшому легкому колли, и крупной немецкой овчарке, и даже тяжеловесному кане корсо. Что успешно показали гомельчане-участники Дог-шоу. Главное — заинтересовать питомца этим видом спорта.
Диск ловят колли Оми (владелец — Дарья Петренко) и немецкая овчарка Гектор (владелец — Марина Асипцова).

This is a 1-2 punch. With speed training you need INTENT. Adding competition and urgency create consisting for athletes to RISE AND COMPETE with each other. Listen to the roars from the crowd when the guys get juked. ⚾️

Youth Physical Development
At some point in time our children realize they may have a chance, and want to pursue collegiate athletics, and now it’s time to join a 10-12 week program in order to become as fast, strong, and powerful as possible in order to be recognized during their next season.
🗣The truth is, there are absolutely no shortcuts when it comes LONG-TERM Athletic Development. If our children want to maximize their potential as an athlete, there needs to be consistent learning lessons for our youth to demonstrate physical literacy via neural blueprinting at a young age (5-6 years old) and continued through early adulthood (21+). Yes, you will see improvements throughout a 10-12 week program, but what happens when they finish said program and all progress is lost within the next 2-3 weeks? Start all over again? Success can always be improved upon during time periods of growth and maturation, and even in between.
